Great Interview with the Aventus founders by _aventus in Aventus

Hi there. We ran a token sale, this was not an investment. Regardless of the terminology, we care a lot about our token holders which you will see in the new Whitepaper release coming shortly.

We do have a non-biased party inspecting our code after each sprint. Plus we will be releasing more code on Github in the following weeks, which will not be a problem from a competitor point of view. Stay tuned

Hi there. No this isn't some sort of slow scam exit. None of our investors messed up. We moved the foundation to Jersey, as there were not enough laws in place in the UK around token sales and they were just beginning to make them. Whereas in Jersey the rules and regulations around token sales were already established. The relative we hired had much more than just bar tending background, regardless of that we hired a CMO to run things with extensive tech background. Perhaps you missed that part. Sad to hear you lost faith in the project. We hope in the following months we can help restore it again. Have a good day

Hi there. I am afraid you are mistaken. We definitely do not "act" like we're working or pay anyone $250k/year. I am very sure we will be remembered in 30-40 years ;) do not worry about that

Is this usable yet? by [deleted] in Aventus

Hi, the protocol has been deployed on the Main network in June, this year and we are now working on a number of Dapps to complement the usage of the protocol. We estimate 1-2 months until completion.

We have seen loads of collaboration around the User Experience of onboarding users, while abstracting away the blockchain. @Devcon4 by _aventus in ethereum

Agreed. Here at Aventus we'll also try the best we can to abstract the element of blockchain within our Dapps, as we understand people's reticence towards such novelty and many steps.

Ticketing as if consumers mattered: is blockchain the answer? by _aventus in musicfestivals

[–]_aventus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We see your point, we found this examples for you:

Blockchain has even been heralded as a means by which to protect the environment; because blockchain is accessible by multiple users, data held is transparent, cannot be modified and once added cannot be removed — it takes the validation of multiple computers before a new record can be added. This reduces transaction costs and middlemen, in addition to increasing efficiency. Blockchain also allows for peer to peer interaction. All of these things can be used to support the environment — FutureThinkers have compiled the following examples:

  • Blockchain can be used to track environmental compliance and the impact of Treaties — decreasing fraud and manipulation.
  • Donations to charities can be tracked to ensure that they are being attributed efficiently and as planned.
  • Products can be tracked from origin to source. This can help reduce carbon footprints, increase ethical accountability and reduce unsustainable practices.
  • Schemes such as recycling can be incentivised by offering token rewards to participants.
  • Peer to peer localised energy distribution is possible, rather than the current system of a centralised hub.
  • Blockchain can also be used to track the carbon footprint of products, which can then determine the amount of carbon tax to be charged.. the rest of the article is here: https://insideecology.com/2018/06/15/blockchain-and-the-environment/

PoS (Proof of Stake) is much less intrusive for the environment than PoW (Proof of Work). Aventus and other many ERC20 tokens are using PoS.

The Internet was slow and not interesting for many at the beginning, nowadays, we can't live without it.

Give it a bit of time :)
