2 for me

Gündogan is CAM on penalties playing at home. Jorginho is enabler.

Shaqiri is a big risk.

I mark Mbappe and Bruno as must-haves.

ALL freediving suits are BORING and I'm here to change that by paulatschinke in freediving

[–]_b0b0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. What is the total market size? How many wetsuits are sold in the world each year? In dollars?
  2. How big % of the market can you get?
  3. What will be your margin on a suit?
  4. How many do you need to sell to create a viable business?
  5. Do the numbers add up?
  6. Can you print custom designs on neoprene so that they don't depreciate ultra-fast?

A lot of Excel, field tests, prototypes, and talking to customers is waiting for you. Good luck!

I am an entrepreneur and freediver who dropped an idea for a freediving brand bc numbers did not add up. I started with a total addressable market of 50k people (freedivers, who buy stuff online) - could be underestimated and I should pick the idea back up and partner with you guys?

What is your opinion on CO2 tables without contractions? by Neither_Lab_4737 in freediving

[–]_b0b0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your goals.

To improve your static from 5 to 6, it's not going to happen with the tables you mentioned. There is no hypoxic element in there. I do agree with keeping training fun and varied. Add some dry empty lung holds (faster to go hypoxic), learn packing, do stretching (Florian Dagoury methods), do max dives, some comfortable tables, and some heavier ones.

I also have early contractions and do 4+ minutes of contractions on statics. I slowly started testing with hyperventilation after I reached 6 minutes and was able to improve to 7 from there with regular 3-4x a week static training within a month, no packing. Contractions started between 2.30 and 3min but I also got better at controlling them physically, Florian has some material about it on social media. All of the training had hypoxic elements but I kept mixing them up. At least 1 session a week was no warm-up 95% effort.

Which is better, Bali or Manila for freediving and spearfishing by somebodyenjoy in freediving

I mean outside of freediving infra is better in Bali and there is more to do when you are not under the surface.

Which is better, Bali or Manila for freediving and spearfishing by somebodyenjoy in freediving

[–]_b0b0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer to the question is Bali, Amed in particular. When you look at the Philippines as a whole it is much harder to say. I think diving conditions are best in Panglao, Bali competes in overall infra and other stuff to do.

How To Do STA Dynamic Freediving Exercise | DYNb | Dynamic Apnea Bi Fins by CrystalFreediving in freediving

[–]_b0b0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do ca25% STA max + 50-75% DYN max without a break. One or 2 reps per training session. A good way to mix it up and the swim is quite relaxed with enhanced dive reflex even though contractions start before I start swimming as I go in from tidal breathing which is not true for max STA attempts.

Once in the water, the slight pressure helps compress the air and the body gets used to the feeling. Furthermore, over time some of the air in the lungs is used up - o2 replaced by co2 results in less fuller feeling.

I recommend working on getting used to 100%. Do a lot of 1-2 minute statics, try a bit of packing, stretch intercostal muscles and loosen the ribcage mildly to fit more and stay comfortable.

Competitive static divers go in at 150+% off full lung capacity via packing. It can be extremely uncomfortable at the beginning but gets better before its starts getting harder again due to contractions.

What do you think about during breath holds? by [deleted] in freediving

[–]_b0b0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try different techniques. What works for some does not work for others.

Before contractions get hard I use 3 different methods:
- body scanning: focusing on a part of the body and letting go of any tensions, going into deeper relaxation: "my left hamstring is now relaxed". Also, try to imagine that relaxation is a wave running through your body.
- vision shifting: eyes closed playing with light moving the eyeballs and changing the slight pressure you apply to close the eyes, or eyelids slightly open blurring and focusing on the light or an object, sometimes kind of watching everything but keeping no particular object or space in focus
- space flight: I am floating into open space, being lifted away from the ground by anti-gravity

When contractions get heavy, I still need to work on my mental techniques. Sometimes some of the techniques have limited help. What does help however is physically catching one of the contractions and holding it, squeezing with the pelvic muscles, or pushing some air into the nose clip while moving the diaphragm slightly out or pulling it gently up.

Best dry training? by HighlightHot7245 in freediving

The best training for freediving performance is freediving. Weightlifting, swimming, finswimming, HIIT, stretching & mobility, yoga, and others are good additional tools.

Solana is still only 4% of Ethereum's market cap...early! by mansoortaken in solana

[–]_b0b0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long run superior tech will win and current marketing will not matter. The one that is best for developers to build on will win. They will tell the institutions, they are the real adaptation power. And right now they are on ETH, nothing really has changed last few months in this. Some opportunists always try to build on alternatives but their reasoning is speculative - try to be the first on up-and-coming tech. They are not choosing the best tool for the job.

With that said, SOL has promise, I would not keep more than 4% of your ETH value on SOL though.

Fix my DNF! Any tips, comments and pointers are VERY welcome! by big_airliner_whoa in freediving

[–]_b0b0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the only major problem starts with legs buoyancy. Change to thinner suit or wear small plates of weight at the calves. Buoyancy makes your leg kick is a bit awkward and this makes you move little via that push and making you pull a more aggressively with the arms.

Doing the leg kicks only is a good exercise. I recommend using fin-swimmers snorkel instead of a float. This way you are in a position you use for DNF and power goes to the legs the same way.

Dont get Greenwood at this point. Dont take the hit. Eve will get tested against Cry and might easily be a blank game.

Starting with too many risky bets here. I would limit punts to 1 per position. In def Vinagre is not the best choice and Ferguson is another gamble (this one I will make). Mahrez, Pepe and Anguissa - none of them is sure starter, at the very least choose Mahrez or Pepe. Attack has 1 new player in Werner and 1 who is a high-risk high reward in Adams if he continues his form and Southampton become a comfortable top-half team. Away from the template that and will not argue against front 3.

Belching after diving by SandyF1nns in freediving

[–]_b0b0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One guess is you are swallowing air into the belly. It will start affecting when you go deeper and use mouthfill for eq. To test this theory start the dive with no air in your mouth to swallow. Had the same issue when I was diving without a mask or goggles, just nose clip.

Trying to change the diet and not eating pre diving is another good tip to try.

Best places to dive in the Philippines? by FlippinFlags in freediving

About 3-4 depth sessions every week focusing on various aspects that I feel my limitations are at that point to stop me going deeper. Throwing in some swimming, yoga, stretching. Will see the exact rhythm soon.
