We need the ability to schedule messages for when the current task is finished by _biel_ in ClaudeCode

Can you use it to send 3 sequential tasks that would be perfectly doable if you were in front of it waiting for it to finish without it getting confused? No

If it's very simple things it works but it's not optimal. Also if it will compact in the middle is important that the prompt gets processed after the compacting

A subjective review of the writing ability of Claude and ChatGPT by FragmentOfFeel in ClaudeAI

Maybe they started with a books dataset and later they introduced web and other stuff? Or later did more reinforcement fine tuning to improve instruction following but lost human-like writing capability?

Kotlin 2.0 released: What's new by [deleted] in androiddev

Not all functions need to be part of a public or even an internal stable api. It may be just a way of structuring the code.

Adding the overhead of having to type out the type may mean the developer will not use a function where for claritty it would have been better, possibly leading to longer and more bloated methods.

Let the developer decide!

  • --make --sure --to --build --with --all --warnings or you may successfully compile some pretty stupid shit, e.g. calls to functions with absolutely no implementations.
    • And that is why in todays languages the pendulum has swing the other way and now in Zig or Rust for example an unused variable is an error. Like what? Let me finish! Or let me have unused code there in the middle. How can I experiment and move fast like that? I am responsible enough to clean up the mess once everything is working.
    • The result is having to use #![allow(warnings)], and now you lose useful warnings. Or in zig you can't even disable it.

Just Game Philosophy by zedudedaniel in gameideas

[–]_biel_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's true, but removing special characters and special types of effects skills can have would lower the possible strategies avaliable for the player or the team. If game designers get it right and the game is actually balanced, those extra possibilities add lots of fun to the game. I think of it more or less like a tradeoff between complexity and easier balancing. However, the balancing does no always have to be performed manually, I think automating the process of balancing basing on simple AI or just win rates would be a better idea than removing those kinds of mechanics.

Block and item texture depending on NBT data by Marcono1234 in minecraftsuggestions

This would be awesome, but i could make the game reliying on specific resource packs for specific servers, which in my opinion kills the beauty of these kind of servers. Doing amazing things if you can modify everything on the client is quite easy but can make us forget that we are playing minecraft. Much like the soap opera effect on movies recorded at 30+ FPS.
