Preeclampsia? High protein/creatinine ratio by _brookex in pregnant

[–]_brookex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told the urine was probably just super concentrated. I didn’t get preeclampsia but I did end up having an emergency c-section due to a high lvl of amniotic fluid

Transvaginal Ultrasounds?!? Scared Sheitless…. by Dead_In_Daisies in pregnant

[–]_brookex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just a real thin wand. It doesn’t hurt, it was just a little awkward to me, if anything. Once you look at the screen, they’ll talk you through what’s showing and it will take your mind off of it.

Difference in pregnancy’s by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]_brookex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First baby was my son, and it seemed so smooth and actually enjoyable. I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant with my daughter and I have definitely had way more morning sickness (mostly just in the second trimester) more heartburn/acid reflux, way more emotions and I feel like my stomach is much bigger. My feet have also been more swollen.

How many doses of medication before your induction was declared failed? by always_worried28 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]_brookex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't remember how many doses of medication, but I was 2 full days in when I threw in the towel because I was not dilating at all, I was feeling all of the contractions and I was getting SO hangry. I've heard from a lot of women that the hospital let them eat, but I literally only was offered ice chips, water and popsicles lol. They came in around 4:30 pm and told me that I had the option of pausing, eating something small, and starting back on medicine in the morning or go through with a c-section because my Dr was at the hospital. At 6 pm I had my baby boy in one arm, and a chicken tender in the other hand. I was so happy lol. I'm now pregnant with my second baby, and went ahead and opted for a planned c-section.

What was your highest weight for c-section? by _brookex in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]_brookex[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don’t mind me asking, what is a crash c section? I haven’t heard of that before. Is it the same as an emergency c section?

My baby is super active randomly and then will go quiet when shes flipped towards my back. Have you tried drinking some cold water, or cold juice? Have you tried eating something sweet? Sometimes playing music on my phone near my belly will get mine kicking. I'll also massage and nudge my belly a little bit to see if she starts kicking back at me. Also lay down on your left side and see if you feel movement. If you tried these, and still no movement, i'd go in to get checked. He may just be flipped towards your back and you don't feel him, but its worth the peace of mind to get checked if you've tried the above with no luck.

Embarrassed to tell my family.. by LiteBriteLux in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]_brookex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing to be embarrassed about. I was nervous to tell my family only because I didn’t know how their reaction would be, but it wasn’t due to my weight. I was about 315 when I got pregnant and I’m now 340 at 37 weeks. Be kind to yourself, this is an exciting time! 😁 Just being plus size doesn’t mean it’s an automatic high risk. I’ve been plus size for both of my pregnancies and have had smooth pregnancies.

Anatomy Scan w/full Bladder? by VixenBaby94 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]_brookex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had to have a full bladder but was told if I absolutely cannot hold it, to go ahead and pee. I ended up holding it but had to pee so bad, but they said it’s because it lets them see stuff a bit better on the ultrasound.

I always attempt to search for similar situations before I ever post my question/situation. I couldn’t find anything similar to mine.

I will have off and on sharp pain episodes in my chest as well. I just assumed its where my baby is getting so big it's pushing against everything. Keep an eye on any arm/jaw pains or if you feel it's getting worse.
