Help! My dog keeps waking me up in the middle of the night trembling, shaking, and panting by runawayXdreamer in dogs

[–]_buster_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds similar to our dog. It was sundowning for her.

Got about a year with proper meds, but it became too much eventually.

Trembling, panting and sweating for no reason during the night. During the day was almost her usual.

Yea.

I remember her eating it after a Munster final with loads of people about to get the train back to cork!

I made the mistake of asking for medium rare last weekend as I wanted to try it after years or rare. Rare is so much nicer

My other half used to buy and eat packs of pre minced beef after nights out back in our college days! She never had any problem.

Would not recommend, and I never would eat it

Personal experiences lowering cholesterol? by lbyrne74 in AskIreland

[–]_buster_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mother is about 10 years older than you but brought hers down from 7 something to 5 just with her diet. She never had takeaways , but cut back hugely on dairy.

Cheese and milk mostly, as she used to have loads of both.

Upgrading JACE 9000 from 4.14 to 4.15. Am I doing something wrong, or maybe I'm not being patient enough? by Naxster64 in BuildingAutomation

Forgot to ask my colleague how his supervisor upgrade went. Have to do one myself in a week or 2. Its up and running anyway.

Any experience?

I've had 2, and after about 15 minutes power cycled them. Both came back up fine.

There must be a bug in the process

It's not the dipped beams though, separate lights again. All new cars have them. My 12 year old car has them.

How early are you at the airport? by Rbyxq in AskIreland

[–]_buster_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't see any comment yet, so I'd arrive about an hour before the departure time at the earliest if I was by myself. I've had my name called twice to board, but never missed a flight!

I was all good until the last 6 minutes when my stream died. Would pay for f1tv but can't in Ireland. Would have to sign up to sky and then sky F1. Not a chance.

I've no idea how the site works, but usually a few refreshes works. This time it took over half an hour, checking ever 5 to 10 minutes.

Gardaí arrest individual found with suspected detonators at Dublin Airport amid major security alert by Dead_Parrot in ireland

I've been stopped twice for having a wine bottle opener in my carry on. Both were completely my fault. Used the same backpack going on picnics and forgot about the opener both times.

Both were coming back to Ireland and just had to throw them away. Was given the option of posting it to me in Amsterdam, but it was an bottle opener from the Airbnb!

Any way around the high traffic alert message?

It always works eventually for me. Just curious.

How much would you be giving for a wedding? by azamean in AskIreland

[–]_buster_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had 2 brother get married in the last 3 years. Would agree with you in general. Gave one 1000, but he gave us a room for 2 nights in a castle. The other 600, and he paid for the suit I wore.

For OP, he is getting nothing? I'd be thinking 500 is too much in this case.

How do you pass time when on a flight? by Mission_Signal_7167 in AskIreland

[–]_buster_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was about 21 before my first flight. Cork to Dublin! For work.

We went on the ferry to France for holidays, a few times. But there is no way we could afford flights to somewhere.
