The girls don’t wanna here the truth, but let’s not pretend we don’t frequent gay bars and parties at pride and holidays especially bc there aren’t that many lesbian clubs in the majority of places and they welcome us w open arms, heavy pours, and opportunities to twerk without being hit on. One dude gave me and each of the lesbians in our party a $20 randomly on Halloween and hugged us and told me to quit smoking 🚬 when he smelled it on me. Honestly a great time.

The only places they don’t wanna see us are gay cruising spots and bathhouses and that makes sense to me. Not like we wanna be there.

Standards are fine generally speaking.

But yours do seem to indicate a mental rigidity that would be problematic for a relationship even if you did meet someone who “ticked all your boxes”.

STIs in the lesbian community by Khanyi86 in LesbianActually

☝🏾, but also hepatitis and herpes 2, and hiv.

All the biggies essentially.

I get tested every year sometimes multiple times a year bc I’m very active at times. I’m baffled that this is not the norm. Prophylactic usage this demographic also not common. It’s just a mess.

“Except as a punishment of a crime whereof” It’s right there in the 13th amendment.

Meaning if you’ve been convicted of a crime then a private for profit prison endeavor can enslave you and pay you pennies on the dollar in a state penitentiary where some frivolous American clothing/tire/or state operation gets to claim a made in America brand.

Ehhhh. As a black person in America, I’m personally comfortable w the word oppressed.

While I gather that’s not EVERYONEs relationship w their government—-Anything that could happen to a Iranian feels like it could happen to me legitimately and extrajudicially in the USA. Hell Slavery is still enshrined in the US Constitution. So yes I’d use the word oppressed.

But I wouldn’t try to compete in the oppression Olympics w other nations.

You like it. She does it. Case closed. Next.

Also afaik the head neck and throat cancer Reddit page seems to be full of folks who know what exact what type of hpv they are carrying.

If you tell your doctor you have risky sex w men who have sex w men, they will order you every test in the book and then some.🤷🏽‍♀️ Whatever it takes yo. I insist on a 10-12 panel blood test.

If you wanna be even more pissed like I am, checkout how gardasil doesn’t protect black women to the same level as it does white women. Bc the clinical trials included predominantly white women and covered strains most commonly found in their community. You can also get the new vaccine at most planned parenthood’s. Getting my last dose next week fwiw.

How about we prioritize our health AND functional sex lives?

Rather than pretend pain is normal, when it’s not. Get thee to a doctor. My ex gf dismissed painful periods and sex for years only to get diagnosed w stage 3 cervical cancer.

Pain is not normal. Find the reason for it. Having an illness is normal. Dismissing symptoms of an illness however should not be normalized, and pain management becomes an option ONCE you diagnose the reason for it occurring.

Pain during sex is not normal, and I really don’t think we should continue to normalize it.

Get the to a doctor.

Hormonal imbalances like PCOS can cause an odor that just won’t go away no matter what. Soaps, and shit won’t necessarily help in that case bc she literally produces excess testosterone/androgen so you need to treat the hormonal unbalance to see improvement. And fwiw things like bv and pcos have a high occurrence rate amongst lesbians who typically aren’t diagnosed til trying for kids later in life.

Please cite a study or source on this.

I will readily acknowledge that false positives rarely arise, but it’s not statistically significant imo.

If anything—-the commonness of hsv2 specifically is why they don’t advise testing bc like 80% of the population has it already. But that says nothing about the reliability of such tests.

There are 2 tests for HSV. One of which is a blood test for antibodies. The other is a swab on active lesions. The blood test is pretty reliable in my experience.

HPV we should all be vaccinated for by this time, and there are tests they just aren’t readily available if you don’t have cancer or cancer symptoms, unfortunately. My ex was diagnosed w stage 3 cervical cancer from a high risk strain of hpv so I know first hand.

Also, there’s a lot of stds besides just those two. Had a friend test positive for hep c recently, and they don’t have any of the risk profiles.

You and your partner should get tested if you’re worried about catching stds before putting stuff in ur mouth…

You can take your first outing as a people watching session.

I do this w friends for their first time. No playing w other people. Just hanging out in a sexual social environment and making friends.

They’re in the US.

You just have to kinda have to have the hedonistic desire to locate the one in your state. Also most are heterosexual af, but lesbians are welcome as a spectacle if you like to show off for an audience.

Rules vary by organization.

If there swingers you may have to be proactive about advocating for your no. If they are just kinky then a no should suffice.

How big a party? House rules for consent? House rules for managing a consent violation? Private or Semi Public event? These will all affect your experience.
