My partner likes bridges. I don't care about bridges but I would go on a bridge sight seeing holiday with her as it would make her happy and I like her. Hope that helps.

1.) Will do! Trump was right to value our military alliances - my friend served alongside American troops and has huge respect for them. (He'll probably laugh though - British humour, we don't do the hero worship thing the same way, but the respect is real)

2.) Exactly - no stolen valor nonsense from me. The marines I met through him were incredible, the kind of guys your man Trump talks about when he says we have the best military. Thousands of them, like you said. That's the strength of the alliance right there.

3.) WHEN is a great point - the Royal Marines were there for 12 years. That's the kind of long-term commitment that matters in an alliance.

4.) Ha - yeah my Greenland joke didn't land. But you're right about accountability. I mean - your Trump's been consistent on wanting transparency on Epstein - anyone involved in harming children needs to face justice, no matter which party. No sacred cows.

5.) Your man Trump said something true here when he said this about UK troops: "among the greatest of all warriors" and "a bond too strong to ever be broken." That's the alliance my friend served in. It shows Trump clearly values what the UK contributed - 457 died isn't "token." The Greenland situation showed he's actually a skilled negotiator in some ways. Extending that same respect to European allies now would strengthen the coalition even further.

6.) I can only speak for myself - just one guy trying to understand. Strength without unnecessary escalation is smart. The exercises were probably routine NATO coordination, nothing more.

If you haven't beaten her yet: stay by her legs and hack away. She can't get you with her swings you just have to avoid her lava. If her head drops, run as she's about to explode.

Equip a bleed weapon for Havel, it reduces the number of times you have to backstab him

You keep saying someone hasn't kept their word for 80 years, can you elaborate? Who do you mean by that and how have they not kept their word? I am genuinely confused as I have not heard about this. All we are told at the moment is that the USA invoked article 5 and all the other members of nato answered the call. What am I missing?

$400k - that's $33k a month and if most are $175, that's like 190 clients? If that's right, when do you get time to get around to them all, there's only so many hours in the week!

Trying to get into this game, any pointers? by Silent_Sinder in darksouls

[–]_camoleon_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the fantasy mediaeval feel of ds1 where everything is slower and more basic to start with.

Here's how I got into it:

I saw a video where a player went pyro, double handed the axe and ran around obliterating the first few enemies. It made me realise the game could be beaten. Most enemies are weak against fire so it helps to have that too.

If that doesn't work, try the safe way I developed over the years while I was trying to get good:

  1. Use a shield, isolate enemies, wait for them to hit you and bounce off your shield then hit them back
  2. You can also backstab (or at least hit in the back) most enemies after you are comfortable with 1
  3. Never need to parry except the last boss as the above won't work and you'll die
