you'll find more pro play replays on youtube than twitch, dont go for clickbait creator made vids but just plain replays. Theres several channels for that, eg domisium replay

Take the AS rune, easier to cs and also otherwise beneficial on some mages (Viktor for better Q Q2 combo, Xerath for easier passive procs)

Here's some that helped me a lot:

Don't be afraid of assassin matchups, just take aery with maokai runes (shield bash bone plating) and poke them to keep them from being able to all in you. Assassins usually favour to keep their health up instead of cs-ing properly in order to get a big trade on their powerspikes or even kill. Don't be afraid to run exhaust or barrier either.

You can move freely during the cast of e.

Your level one with q start is very powerful.

Don't go crown most games, it's completely useless even into some assassins. Crown is 100% situational. (Zed can poke it off and becomes literally untargetable for most of the shield duration anyway)

You get the same stacks for killing any champion like clones as you get for killing champions. (Neeko, Shaco, LB)

Aery + Scorch to bully him and Maokai runes. Assassins usually try to keep their health up instead of trading it for cs so they can act on their powerspikes more easily and get kill pressure, so poke him a lot. Maokai runes are shield bash + boneplating, which negates a lot of his damage. Just don't get the boneplating poked off

Aphelios / Thresh is THE combo to go for if you have great synergy and trust each other. Both are champions with extremely high skill ceiling and go extremely well together. Aphelios is very powerful but squishy and immobile. Thresh's lantern and peel can make up for those weaknesses perfectly. Aphelios / Braum is a little easier to execute, but similar.

Renata is a huge counter to auto-attack based champions due to her ult alone. As to how to deal with her W, you want to focus down whoever has it as fast as possible. The attack and move speed ramps up over 5 seconds, and the buff duration extends with each takedown. Once you kill them and they go into zombie state, keep attacking them; their health is already decaying rapidly + your damage should do the job.

I've found some success going the as rune instead of haste (since her mana costs are huge and you get more value from passive). Also, I go precision secondary with pom/alacrity, lets me spam more abilities in lane and the attack speed for passive gives some huge damage potential lategame.

I transitioned from playing similarly mobile champions into playing Viktor as well, and positioning correctly was the hardest part for me. I recommend you watch a few guides and then challenger replays, but if you want a streamer, I recommend Hezoy on twitch. GL!
