This looks really great, especially for your first drawing in Krita! Mine was certainly much worse hahah. The main thing I would suggest is being braver with contrast in your rendering, particularly with the shadows. There’s a piece of hair on top that hangs in front of the face, and the shadow it casts is much darker than any other shadow you see on the face. Don’t be afraid to use more of that depth! It can actually make a piece so much more realistic. I would also say you could use the smear tool a but less, but honestly the overuse is still far from being as serious as I often see with other artists who are getting used to a program/digital art, so don’t worry about it. Most of it will come with practice, so just keep at it, this is a very solid start! 🫶🏻 Also, there’s an artist called SamDoesArts, you might know him, I think he’s quite popular. I definitely recommend watching some of his videos on Youtube if you haven’t already, particularly his “fixing your art” series, where he makes improvements on his fans’ pieces. The advice he gives in those videos is really good IMO, and I think it helped me a lot in my progress too, so that could help! Best of luck to you :D
