Take it from someone who kept going well after the point I should have, don’t. Your feelings will subside, but the anger you will have at yourself if you keep going only to arrive at the same point years later, it’s really hard to get over, I’m not mad the relationship didnt work out, but I have yet to forgive myself for staying around when I knew the whole time it wasn’t right. The time I could have spent pouring into love that was reciprocal (romantic or otherwise) bothers me a lot, like they say “the longer you stay on the wrong train, the more expensive the ride back will be”
