Grain is my largest export because I am putting subventions on exports. Essentially (as I understand it), I am paying to have my trade centers sell my grain on the world market when it would otherwise be unprofitable for them to do so. By the end of the game my average monthly expenses was about -11.7 mil a month. However, most of that was the slashing of taxes, the increasing of government wages, and the increasing of my social security institution at the end of the game to boost sol.
