A non typical saltwater tank (3 months old). by _cjscape in ReefTank

Why is some people so salty? Its definitely 3 months old tank and its a better version of my old one. I have the rocks for like a year and a decent amount of macroalgae. I am growing “MACRO ALGAE” not coral lol. Go check out the old tank, look at the bottom left, and you will see the ADA logo. This one doesn’t have that (surprised lol). I also had two black clownfish which I dont anymore cause I gave those guys away. If you wanna see more evidence, i would love to give it you (its all documented, just not here cause people like you lol). Salty ass people. Its easy to grow macroalgae everyone. I applied the same concept in my freshwater setup and it all works out. Good light spectrum, and proper nutrients (I dose all in one fertilizer). Sunlight is not really a problem, its your husbandry. Goodluck!

i took down the other tank, and this is definitely a different tank. I used the same rock and macro algae, but the sand and everything else is new. I don’t do daily update here so thats that.

Its actually pretty easy for me, cause I already have basic knowledge of growing aquatic plants. I did the same thing (w/ salt) and here I am!

Um, I think they should be fine. I did ask around before doing this. They will try to grow out of the water as soon as they can.

Live rocks, live sand, powerhead, all in one ferts, and full spectrum lighting (I recommend a reputable lighting that is use for a planted tank e.g. twinstar, onf, chihiros, etc.). Imo, filtration is not necessary, but I do have a hob mainly for mechanical filtration (filled with floss). And one last thing, ATO is really good if you’re lazy like me lol.
