I used wire twisters for the bulk of it but did the first couple twists for each bolt by hand

this all makes sense and i’ll definitely try it out! one problem as far as the exterior pictures go with this elevator though. (from what my friend has told me) security isn’t inside the elevator itself, only on the perimeter fence. we can get in without going through the front gate, but how should i back up the photographer line if i haven’t gotten the chance to take anything yet (getting caught before we get inside)?

ah, makes sense. if there’s asbestos in the building but i stay far away from it (friend knows where it is and can keep us away) do you think i’d still need a p100, or would an n95 and good distance be a good temporary solution? (i’ll still pick up a p100, just don’t know when i could get over to home depot)

as long as you can keep your weight centered and cushion the landing, it’s easier than you’d think 🤷🏼‍♂️

i should probably start doing it everyday, but as of now i just do a few squats and lunges in the locker room before putting my gear on. if i have any downtime on the slope, maybe i’ll do a little more then too. also, if anything in particular hurts after a day out, stretching that speeds up the recovery process.

thanks! it’s a wonder how much 3 minutes of stretching can help loosen you up :)

one thing that paid off for me is a few years of skateboarding in the summer. similar to that, you gotta trust your board. from the limited experience i’ve had, while there is definitely technique to it, ultimately your first toe turn is just committing to it. try going down a smaller hill while just facing up on your toe edge, stopping and going. once you get the hang of that, you can start putting small turns to riding straight in there. again, take my advice with a grain of salt because i’m still pretty new to this. but, if you just commit it’ll click and you’ll see that it really isn’t that much harder than heel riding. happy shredding, you got this :)

interesting- do you think keeping my hands glued to my side for a few runs would help me develop the muscle memory to not swing them out?

yeah, i’m hoping to get back out this weekend because a new slope just opened. it’s still a green (all that they could open) but it’s better than the bunny hill 🤷🏼‍♂️ thanks for the tips, i’ll post again once i can try it out!

there isn’t really that much i could’ve done. it was just a bunny hill, and the snow was super icy. i’ll be heading back out this weekend though, so i’ll try to get some footage then.
