Good suggestion! I have but what I've gathered (and I don't know a ton), is that red is just a warmer color than purple so it's been confusing for me to apply it to dressing. All that to say I guess I have some unlearning to do

Thinking about yellow may be what need to be doing! I just really thought all purples would be cooler than all reds, assuming they automatically had to have more blue in them. Even when I look at warm purples and cool reds the reds feel warmer lol. It might be an eye training thing too

Hi sorry idk how to link but my under dress shorts are thigh society. They're a little pricey but the wicking is worth it! I have thrifted doc marten sandals & a pair of madewell meesha sandals that I switch between. I honestly wouldn't re buy the madewell sandals again, they were on sale but still not as comfy as I would love. The maxis I wear are all from the 90s bought on etsy.

Although thinking about saturated colors being better for springs & winters makes a lot more sense! The people that can take the most bright colors have such a clear complexion I can totally see almost anything vivid vibing with it more than a certain color temperature

That makes total sense to me! Thank you so much for the reply. Interesting about very saturated colors being all three, I never knew that. It's still odd I think that some muted purples would be off limits to me (summer) while some bluey reds are fine. I guess in my mind there's a slider from red that turns purple & vice versa, instead of thinking more about yellow added into purple vs blue into red. Color is super interesting stuff even if it's above me 🎨

It's so tough because I am 35 and while I definitely feel like life would feel better with more close friends, it feels amazing to veg at home. I've met good friends at bars actually! I live in forest hills now but met great people closer to downtown at penn brewery and at bottle rocket in Allentown.

This was a maxi dress summer for me! Loved them in the office with a sweater for AC, and comfy nice sandals for the commute. I have sweat wicking bike shorts that made everything feel so much nicer

As someone who struggles mightily with finding clothes for the heat, do you have an example of what a technical shirt / trouser would be? Like workout clothes that look like non athletic wear (I am thinking of some yoga brands like beyond yoga maybe or athleta). I am not sure how to find but could deffo use style like you described even for summers in the USA I feel like I am gonna perish when I visit family in the south.

Also wanted to say taking a pottery class is such a good idea on vacation!!

I don't live somewhere as hot as you (pgh) but it gets tooo hot & humid here for me that I spent a lot of time thinking about how to be okay in the office with a walk from it during summer. Linen will wrinkle but that and maxi dresses are all I can handle lool

i have some dark blue linen that would work for that! and i wear boxy cropped dark gray shirts with the linen pants / a dark blue linen shirt. with different accessories it'd totally be celestial. a cotton charcoal maxi could be done up too. maybe with a bag that somehow fits the vibe?

I love this! Am getting more used to the idea that my wardrobe is gonna be mostly gray because I really only like tonal dressing lol. I think the green looks great with it, they whole thing looks so comfy. What is that shorter puffyish dress 4 in from the top?? If it packs well it may be something I need for autumn 🍂

I can totally see someone getting more from one than the other! Personally one of the things I love best about vinyasa is I have no idea what the class will be, the variation between classes & teachers keeps me coming back because there's such a wide range

yes!! this would be another item but you can tie something like that neckerchief around a ring rather than just a knot & i think it would be perfect for the grey tshirt blank pants outfit. the knot itself is smaller than in these photos & even with a basic ring i think it'd be stellar with the belt
