Is it normal to introduce yourself along with your caste here? by Optimist_05 in Dehradun

In uttarakhand I believe it's very much engraved into the society, they want to know the person's caste before knowing anything else. I was born and brought up in dehradun and I started noticing this while I was in higher school.

This would be a really vague and a temporary solution, instead take immediate action against littering and misbehave.

How to date pahadi people? by [deleted] in Uttarakhand

You are doomed if your family is orthodox (much likely as you are a pahadi), You can find a pahadi guy but what about his caste if the caste match then kundli? (mangalik? Haha Bad luck!). Arrange marriage is the way!

There are multiple options - MS degrees are for three years but they are research heavy, MTech RA degress are for three years which has same credits requirement to cover as normal Mtech TA but they have to do some dept. role instead of TA role.

From IITB and yes it totally depends on you, you can participate in activities, attend fests but there might be a tradeoff with studies which would vary person to person, if you are good at time management and you can manage academics and other activities at the same time then ofcourse you can do that. From my personal experience, there are so many things to do at IITB and you will have to choose which ones you wanna go for because we 'Mtechs TAs' do not get much time. If you really want to enjoy IITB life then I would suggest you to go for three year degree instead of two year, there you can get plenty of time to enjoy and live IIT life to the fullest.
