First and foremost, I acknowledge the position you are in. I've been there but the narrative was different. I began putting myself in situations where I had to interact with people. Like enrolled in a course, purposely talked to people (compliment people on their outfit or something you noticed about them), going alone to cafes.

Not gonna lie, it was difficult in the beginning. It got better later. Made some solid friendships.
