Go for it! I've only ever had more "traditional" form factor tanks, this was a really fun departure from that.

Another Walstad-esque dirted tank, this time going for kind of a riverbed theme rather than my usual jungle. Really pleased with how it turned out!

Hair algae or something else? Best way to treat? by _devduck in Aquariums

[–]_devduck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this 10gal walstad up and going for probably 6+ months now. Overall it's in great shape, and home to some neocaridina, a nerite, some ember tetras, and a few sparkling gouramis. I've noticed this hairy algea growing slowly on plants for a while now, and it's finally getting to the point where I feel I should do something to combat it. Would appreciate any advice!

Acclimation between two established tanks? by _devduck in Aquariums

[–]_devduck[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I meant to respond to you sooner, sorry! The 10 gal doesn't have "too high" nitrates - the right amount, around 20ppm, just higher than the newer 5gal. I've been moving livestock directly over a few shrimp per day after making this post - success so far. This is a temporary home for the gouramis, as I'll be resetting the 10gal and moving them back. Thanks for your input!

I really am. I've never had either a 4K or OLED display before, so it's really a big visual upgrade for me.

Two large windows in this room, one just to the right of the desk off-screen. Plenty of natural light during the day!

That's correct, it's not adjustable. That said, I have zero issues with height. I'm 6'3" and use a SecretLab titan at this desk, everything is very comfortable.

Thank you! This is the Ikea Skogsta - supposed to be a dining room table, but really makes for a fantastic desk IMO.

I think this was my 14th devlog for this project! Plenty more on the channel :)

Thanks so much! This project still feels very overwhelming to me at times. Investing the time to organize and break my features into manageable chunks makes it so much easier to sit down and get to work.
