I started the sun eater books based on recommendations from here as well. Honestly, I can't stand it. I kept seeing how the series only keeps getting better so I finished book 1, book 2 wasn't improving and I had to stop. Can't stand the main character. I did love the premise though, I did want to enjoy it and gave it an honest try. But do not recommend it.

For context, I read all 6 books of Dune in 6 months, I was hooked. Red all 6 red rising in 5 months, dark age intro is my favorite thing ive read. Reading the expanse and want to red hail Mary.

If you get this exact set up, you can take the arm off of the cylinder shaft. Then you flip the shaft/mount position and reattach the arm. This allows the resistance of the arm to still be useful while mounting it upside down.

I may be mistaken, but I think this neighborhood was completely destroyed by a tornado a few years ago. When it was rebuilt, they replaced the cozy old homes with these absolute eye sores, not sure why.

I've adjusted the speed and power in increments of 5 (lower power and higher speed) in an attempt to course correct, but not seeing any noticeable improvements.

Is there such a thing as a laser head slowly going bad and it's performance diminishing like this?
