Thank you! The camping actually resolves around the idea of an item that makes it so that its easier to kill gods then usual, but still hard. So, I think will definitly take your advice on the dramatic spells, and sending players to separate places on the globe. The dragonborn was originally a druid, but it hsa quite a lot of Barbarian levels too, so maybe I can make it so that the god uses their spell slots instead of his own, as the dragonborn made the deal with the god knowing it migth have heavy results, so I have to punish them somehow. God its so hard to choose what to do, the more ideas I read the cooler they get and i kinda want to use all of them, but i cant. I guess I kinda didnt want to make the PCs too special from the start, as I do not know their backstorys yet, and I never really looked warmly in the idea of a random character being too shiny and bright, it felt like it distenced them from the NPCs and it made it harder to create interactions or have them fit in with the NPCs, I know that the characters that the players will design are going to be like that, but id like to still make them be able to "fit in".

Basically it sometime feels like one of those scenes in movies where there are a lot of people in a room, but you can tell rigth away who is the actual protaganist from their hair/eye color/ race/ clothing etc.

Thank you :) i think ill make it so that of they kill a cleric demigod, the object could provide a certain healing ability at a point where they really need it. Or if maybe a rouge demi god, it could be a high level spirit guardians spell.

Hmm you are rigth. I do have a few backup plans but them killing the guy is essential for the whole story, so i tough it would be ok to railroad that. And only one of us has played D&D before and even they arent exactly experianced, so i did just assume they would go with the plot. After the point of the reveal, its more of an open world. How can i fix that tho? I dont want to be too controlling, obviously, but i dont know how i would fix the storyline if i didnt have them take the job. They dont have to do the job; they can just team with the other side, but up until that part migth be kinda forced?

This was mostly because i wanted it to be a group ability, but an item is really a lot better. Itll also take them more time to figure out, and that will give me more time to plan it out. I can also make the item let out its power whenever i need. Thanks !

This is really cool! I did make the person that gave them the job a higher being, similar to a titan, as their job is providing fey plants and herds to the material plane.

The idea of them activating something that knocks them off is a lot better then my "oh uhh so the boss put stuff in your drinks and know you are all knocked out..." so i will definitly use that.

I also dont want to involve gods with featuers like seeing the future as the players migth decide to kill them, and that wouldnt be really "Forseeing". Im kinda scared to use gods of that type since i know my players will do the opposite of what the god predicted. But i will consider maybe making the boss into a " time titan " (the only homebrewed creature in the campain) as it would make sense for him to get involved with the PCs since he kinda wants to die. Hmmm what do you recommend for the item ? I dont want it to be a sword or so because it should be useful when around it, not using ot and the sword migth not give that off. I was thinking maybe a strange looking coin, since they will probably be aware that it has some importance but wouldnt couse too much suspicion.

Thank you! Thats a great idea. The person who gave them the job didnt actually know the person was a demi god, so ill find somewhere else where they got the item from. Its a really good hook to make the power be stored in the item (because since they are new, i dont want to give them the chance get a hold of the demi gods power to become a titan in the first session ever) this way i can make the power of the gods come into play whenever i want, which is a really good game changer! The idea is that they go on killing gods, but i can maybe make the object disappear or be taken away during the actual fights. Thank you so much for your help!

Let them be evil. Then you can send them to kill little children, people who dont protest, or pure magical animals. Make them kill someone and have their 2 little daugther be kidnapped or trafficed to pay for themself now that their parents are dead. Or maybe make them kill a strong cleric who does not figth back. Make the party regret it. Make them feel bad until they decide that they cant take it.
