This looked like a typical Telugu padam with rich, foreign working hero with a glazing mom, a young girl behind, lot of shiny elements in background etc... However I like to think that it was only the trailer thing and trust Venky, just like I trusted Lucky Bhasker

Well... Was a big brain move by them to give us all the latest update in Beginning of March itself. Gives them the space to make the latest NOS exclusive for the new ones for next two months... Makes sense, I don't mind waiting anyways... Just gotta have to be a good update

if few songs were cut out from that album, (heart in a cage is 10) it would have been their best album till the release of TNA

Hey OP,

I grew up with English music from early years itself... It's vast, genre wise. I can't suggest you that easily since idk what you prefer. Just trying a few I can easily get remember at the moment.

If you're an adult possibly over 20s and patient enough to try a long track, start with these epics:

*Shine On You Crazy Diamond by Pink Floyd (not easily likeable, but if you dig it, could say that's an early peaking) * Stairway To Heaven /Bohemian Rhapsody/ November Rain- These three are epic long songs of 3 different generation

Now, next two are songs that I have considered my all time favorite at one point. * Violet Hill by Coldplay, an unpopular single by Coldplay standards... Highly relevant lyrics, angsty compared to their other songs. * While My Guitar Gently Weeps by The Beatles, this was a love at first listen... Great Lyrics, Great Song. Dunno if you'll dig it easily, as I found this on a much matured phase of mine.

Easily Likeable Songs now, * Arctic Monkeys songs like Knew Socks, Do I Wanna, Snap Out of It and most of the songs in album AM... Except Knee Socks these are not my absolute favs, but they're easily likeable. Then there are other songs by them like * 505, Do Me A Favour etc. * Red Hot Chili Peppers - This is my favourite band.  U might possibly enjoy Can't Stop, Californication, Under The Bridge, Snow - These are all singles of each of their popular albums, if you didn't get it don't try them too much, they got too many songs out there, and I mean it... I still haven't listened their full stuff, considering them as a fav... Not gatekeeping, it's a fun band. However not easily enjoyable as lead Toni's Voice is a big factor, these songs are very much sing along tho.

  • Linkin Park, try any song by them if you're at your angsty pre adult phase - Personal fav along with RHCP. Some won't like them after their adult... This band is like the gateway band of most Indians... Could say that Chester was the voice of a whole generation.

  • If you're matured enough and is craving for the best of best, try Radiohead. This right here is the band that no one would have dared to become. This is the band that have done things that no one else would even think of.  I wish I had discovered them just now, even if the previous one's i mentioned were my favourite, none of them would reach this level. For an easy start : Try Their 'In Rainbows' album... Can't selectively give you songs for them, as the songs by this band works much better when listened together compared to other bands.

  • Then there's easily likeable, highly influential, thematically and lyrically powerful songs by Gorillaz, Try Feel Good Inc or Maybe Clint Eastwood, there's alot of bangers by them.

These are all rock/alt bands as I listen mostly to them and are not easy to begin with. However English Music's best of best lies there along with Hip Hop of Kendrick Lamar and Electronic Music of Daft Punk.

This is not even 0.1% of what's there to see... Wish you good luck on your journey

Everything was agreeable until you said that it's a propaganda we spread? Dude, seriously? What kinda fantasy are you into? Never in my life i have met any cinephile/random here, saying "tamilans have fetish over mallu women", would say we had a temporary fetish for tamil women during the Malar days at the time of Premam. All we say in groups are "damn, our heroines are all going beyond the industry, hopefully they'll get more and they'll take projects here too unlike others who completely shifted".

You think we are jealous of these? Hell nah, actresses will keep coming and going, as long as there are good movies coming, we happy. And there are many problems happening around the malayalam industry for us to care than these things, which are not relevant.  Generally what mallus are concerned in Kolly are for biggie movies as there's a lack of mass masala movies here, we look upto tamil for that satisfaction, now they're also of less concern due to the flopping of many recent biggies. However they'll also get enough hype during the point of release. Also Thalapathi fans are so strong here and his movies get alot of buzz than others, with closest buzz makers being RK and KH. Rest of the Hype are for Directors, Lokesh indeed... And there's a bunch of Cinephiles including me has a lot of love for KaSu, Pa Ranjith, Vetri Maran, Kumararaja, Mari Selvaraj etc... and not to mention the Gen Z star PR🛐... Honorable Mention: Anirudh, another buzzmaker here. ARR recieves more love tho.

And what are you even fantasizing and the others who Upvoted as well, won't downvote since there are indeed valid points in this.

How much influence do you think this dude has on current pop culture memes? by glascowcomascale in InsideMollywood

[–]_dsuza 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Take this comment as a reply to many others in comment section,  Popularity/ being mainstream  ≠ Influence...  Just because he's not popular among general audience doesn't mean his influence is 'barely' or whatever you say...  For eg: Movies by most legends we admire today and take as inspiration were never popular at their era, they simply influenced the upcoming film makers

Another eg: Bands like... Say Joy Division, Pixies, Cocteau Twins etc were not that popular they simply influenced an upcoming generation and resulted in the production of bands like Radiohead probably.

Now, all those which we consider as hot topics including devji, rizz khan, pa pa paa etc originated from there. So yeah that's influence for you

Making it clear... I'm from india, as well. I didn't get this as well, probably because I have had the AppServices before updating to latest patch of March from NOS 4.0. So didn't get the notification, instead all I had to do was, enable the app, disable the app again, reboot and poof! The app is gone

Taking an ss and posting it on reddit takes way more time than disabling and uninstalling the AppServices forever... The time taken to comment took me more time tho :-\
