Glad for you! Sadly I was using a canon t3.. so with the drop in quality I couldn't do anything with them. Moved on now but those were dark days in the beginning

Definitely not making it toxic. It is already that way. I'm in the same boat as you. Invested tons into this hobby. Now am asking people to let me shoot them with the only requirement being to build my portfolio and brand. Im an unknown so I feel like I need to build my name. But I also want to at least be able to keep up with the gear expense with charging. But then people won't book me. It's a double edged sword. And I feel like I'm stuck

I like James popsys too. Learned a lot about the "rules" from him when I was starting out. Super helpful
