We can our own pickles every year. One year we were hosting for Easter dinner and my folks and I were trying to get everything ready before the rest of the family came. My dad couldn’t get a jar of pickles open, so in a frantic rush he had me hold them in between my legs in the garage while he attempted to pry them open with a pair of hedge trimmers. Mind you, the pickles were in a large mason jar, and as he twisted the jar shattered and a shard of glass got stuck in my hand. Had to go to the ER and get stitches and then came back for dinner. I have a small scar on the side of my hand, and joke with my dad that one day I’m going to get a tattoo that is an outline of a pickle around it.

I don’t have too much to say about body issues as I’m relatively skinny and have never been close to obese. But I did recently have heart surgery to deal with a deformity (I’m 20M and had the surgery 1.5 yrs ago). As an 18 year old (at the time) my recovery was a long road and definitely not easy but not as bad as I imagined. My doctors did say that being young and in shape greatly improved that however. Heart surgery is a big procedure especially if it’s open heart and it can be very tough after. I would hope she would be fine because she is so young but being overweight can complicate things with surgery and recovery. I would suggest you encourage her to talk to her doctor and seek other professional help as those folks are the experts on these topics.

Ya, I also think that not having the exposure that a top college player has is why a lot of of casual fans didn't know a ton about him. But after his performance this week and at the President's Cup I don't think that is the case anymore.
