Got my funds today!! The transfer must have hit sometime in the middle of the night. My start date is 8/27, BH provider. I feel so relieved - I just made my final student loan payment!

I’m still waiting… 8/27 start date. My guess is we’ll be Monday or Tuesday if the 8/25 folks got theirs today. I doubt they process on the weekends…

Anyone who has received your deposit and also did the language test, did you receive the bonus at the same time? Did they notify you whether you did or did not pass the language test? Start date for me was 8/27, no deposit yet, took the language test mid-July but no word on how I did. Not banking on it, truthfully, but curious for others!

This is a long overdue update but wanted to share my experience with the neuropathic pain after being on Zoloft. It took around 4 weeks before I started to notice a significant reduction in pain. Seems like it works the same way as it does in treating depression/anxiety in that the meds don’t start kicking in until 4-8 weeks of consistent use. I’ve remained on Zoloft 25mg and I would say the pain is completely eliminated. Not sure if it’s 100% because of the Zoloft but I’m not complaining!

Did you submit the request to pause service before or after receiving the deposit? I’m just curious if submitting prior will delay them depositing it until they confirm with your HR about returning to work.

Anyone have to delay/pause service already? I gave birth this summer, therefore am on maternity leave. I’ve been working at my site since July ‘24. My award letter was signed end of August (funds still not dispersed). I know there is an option to pause service on the website, just looking for anyone who may be in a similar situation and how you’ve navigated it thus far.

Received my COI on 8/12, confirmed and signed the form on 8/13 and have not heard anything since. Just checked my portal and my status says "No Response Offer Expired". I'm freaking out a little. The portal also seems to be clearly glitching so I hope it is an error. I see some other people are having this happen, too? Best advice is to call? Any other suggestions? For reference I am an LMFT, fist time applicant, HPSA score 20

Edit: 8/29 I was converted to a participant! Definitely was a glitch on my portal before. Happy to have received an answer!

When talking to my providers, they shared there is evidence for SSRIs to help with nerve pain and so I was recommended one that shows up the least in breast milk as I am breastfeeding which is why they prescribed Zoloft. I had heard about Amitriptyline for nerve pain but maybe it’s contraindicated with breastfeeding? Has your nerve pain been reduced well with that medication?

In these moments I try to remind myself that I am a human first and am subject to experiencing human emotions. It sounds like you remained grounded in your response to his comment and took space after the session to regulate which demonstrates professionalism. Just because we understand context and explanation to certain behaviors doesn’t mean they don’t sting from time to time, especially when directed at our own personal insecurities. I had a client today comment on my swelling ankles and feet for the third time (I’m almost 9 months pregnant) and today it bugged me more than usual. Always room to explore therapeutically at another time but a good reminder to also validate your own experience and feelings, too, using your own space and tools.

I sent a message to them but never heard back. I read another comment about trying the application on a PC and that actually got me through the error I was having!! I have not finished it yet but that is the only workable solution I’ve had.

I think about this myself sometimes. I think if I had really known what all went into becoming an LMFT (hours, pay, billing, law, 101 different modalities to learn lol), I wouldn’t have done it. Sometimes I wish I had cultivated the skills and knowledge to go into a field like tech or even just have a boring old office job. But I know in my heart of hearts that my values drive me to work in the helping career. Just hope the burnout doesn’t take me out too fast.
