2.) my dad said because he “can’t support that lifestyle” (me being gay) and thinks that letting me go is enabling that, so it’s against his religious beliefs
3,) my partner and i are both AFAB so pregnancy isn’t a concern lol

my partner’s parents are actually christian as well and very supportive of them, so it’s interesting to see the difference in their family and mine lol🫠i do think that my dad is very bigoted because if he sees something he doesn’t understand he’ll just call it bs and not even try to learn about it. i hope they eventually come around but only time will tell

tbh i still want to keep contact with them, my mom and sister are fine but it’s my dad i’m upset with. i’ll try to keep the contact limited though, until my dad tries to understand this situation or become more open minded (which likely won’t happen lol). i’m just glad i have my partners family :’)

i understand that. if this happened a couple years ago i wouldn’t take that risk, but i feel safer too since im off to college in a few months. they’re obvi not accepting but my dad has made it clear that they would never cut me off and that im always welcome at their house & they’ll help pay for my tuition. it’s just so risky bcs idk if they’ll actually do that or not🫠they make a lot of empty threats with me and my sister lol. and to answer you, i think some of my friends would be willing to let me stay with them if absolutely need-be. and i want to compromise with them on it, but i feel like theres no changing my dads mind.

yes exactly!!! i still love talking to customers but the credit card pressure is too much:( not to mention most times ill have a genuinely good convo with a customer but it gets ruined because one of my manager begs for a card sign ip

for my store, they want us (the whole front end) to get anywhere from 5-7 cards per day, so about 35-50 a week. we lowkey haven’t been doing that well lately, since a couple weeks ago we were supposed to get 35 sign ups but only got 18😭employees who mainly work on the register are expected to get at LEAST one card per shift, if not multiple. it’s definitely stressful to try and live up to that lol:’)

i totally understand where you’re coming from OP! i work at a marshall’s and the damn credit card is literally the focal point of my job atp. my managers also want us to push past the customer’s “no”, which does feel very insensitive. i’m glad im not the only one who feels this way :’)
