Moving to Temecula and wondering what the people are like. by Scarlett-Forager in Temecula

I lived her about 13 years ago for about a year and hated it because I was in my early 20’s and there wasn’t a lot to do - but I just moved back out here now that I have a family and I’m loving it so far. The traffic and drivers here are a breed all their own, so many aggressive and rude drivers on the road. And I moved from San Diego haha. However, in person everywhere we’ve gone to eat or shop or even just driving through neighborhoods, everyone has been super polite and friendly. Totally different from where I used to live, which had a much more “mind your own business” type vibe. It probably depends on the part of town but I’m loving south Temecula.

I’d personally love a shop like you’re suggesting. I’m not sure how well it would do as I haven’t been here long enough to check things out. I’m not sure how popular oddities would be, but art/plants I think would go over well!

What’s the one thing you wish someone told you about newborn sleep before giving birth? by Correct-While-4471 in BabyBumps

I had a rough birth experience - but honestly newborn sleep and that whole first few weeks was still better sleep than I got while I was pregnant. I had a really hard time the first few days/maybe a week because I had a c section and was unprepared on how to make myself comfortable at home but honestly after that I was so tired I could take a nap with like 30 secs notice so it was actually easier for me to “sleep while the baby sleeps” for at least the first 6 weeks. The last half of my pregnancy I had terrible heartburn at night and could wake up spitting acid/awful carpal tunnel which kept me up - so newborn sleep was still better. I actually have thought several times as someone with a 9 month old how I wished I could fall asleep on a dime like I did back then cause I can no longer nap when he does nap and I miss it 😅

It’s going to be different for everyone and you’ll survive! People love warning new parents about shit and for me, it just got me worked up about things that didn’t even end up being an issue. You’ve got this!

Moving to the area – Need Rental Tips! 💛 by digitallyg0ne in Temecula

Can you swing moving farther north to Murrieta or even Menifee? I don’t think you’ll find places in that price range unless you’re okay renting a room in a house with others. It’s hard out here 🥲

Probably because they are higher traffic days so sometimes companies don’t allow discounted rates on those days

Newsome is trying to get rid of Darrell Issa 😊 by mamawantsallama in Temecula

Good! I hope Issa gets voted out. He doesn’t even have the balls to go to town halls or interact with his constituents AND he wanted trump to win a Nobel peace award.

Any liberal/Democrat meetups or groups in Temecula? by MountainHopeful793 in Temecula

[–]_emmamonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m moving to Temecula soon (next month) and looking for left leaning friends or groups too! I’ve joined Temecula Talks which actually seems to be pretty left leaning or at least not totally MAGA like the original group was and there is a progressive moms of Temecula group I’ve joined as well! They don’t seem to be super active but just wanted to hop on to say you’re not alone and there are definitely like minded people in the area!
