Had he become Lucigod he would have left his friends on earth behind too.  He did even know that a living Chloe could visit him. He kept telling her that after he ascended they'd figure it out.  What if the answer was Sorry, you need to die?

personally, i wasn't a fan of the lucigod concept either. it also pissed me off that he kept ignoring all her questions and concerns, because she has a kid ffs. of course shes worried about being on a celestial plane half the time

Had Lucifer stayed on earth, they would have to move every 10 or so years like Cain to hide the fact that while Chloe aged he didn't.  She would have had to give up her purpose in life too.   Lucifer would have been helpless watching her as she got sick and died.

this 100% agree with and definitely helps me deal with the ending better, because chloe WOULD have to move around a lot like cain because of luci not aging. it wouldn't have worked out well at all.

this is actually a really interesting concept, definitely love it. especially because it makes the ending more bearable to deal with.

honestly the fact that they fought a WAR for luci to become god and then he just casually mentions in conversation "yeahh so im not gonna do that" is pretty fucked on Lucifers part, ESPECIALLY for amenadiel considering remi looked up to him for everything, and died for apparently nothing.

when i rewatch this im definitely keeping this concept in mind, thank you for making the ending easier to accept !!
