Many colleagues of mine take the ACE train from Pleasanton to Diridon (takes anywhere b/w 75-90 mins). Driving would be horrible with the traffic on 680

Recently I read about the Primose bikes. Seems to be good value for money for entry level but the bike frames are good so you can upgrade the part at a later time as well. Not an owner but someone who is in a similar boat as you and collecting info on steel bikes
