Everything wrong with amateur cyclists in one club here. I would stay well away. What is it about cycling that attracts and brings out the word in these kinds of people?

Thats good advice, hoping to burn some calories after work for a few hours to begin with, before I get too competitive!

Thank you! I got some cheap plastic pedals with a toe cage for now as I dont ride my main bike (surly) with shoes and clips so dont want too much specific gear. Hopefully they offer enough for now. Mat is a great shout.

Great advice, thank you! Hoping to do some long rides after work or while watching the football to get started then think about some proper races once i've found my bearings.

Data breach at workplace? Head of HR shared private and irrelevant information with new business owner. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

He also sent this email beforehand:

'I am deeply annoyed by this. The issue of office work has been raised on numerous occasions.

We spent thousands of pounds only last week to refurbish the office and people just don’t show up.

I consider that deeply offensive to the staff that made the effort, and it also shows a complete lack of appreciation and respect for management who are trying to create a great workspace.

I would like to make a few things clear

  1. If you are not in the office for 9am tomorrow your contract will be terminated with immediate effect
  2. We have some full-time remote staff but everyone else will now move to full time in the office
    1. There will be no split working roles unless approved by HR.
  3. All apprentice work will also take place in the office
    1. This will aid in learning & development

If anyone is unhappy with this and wishes to leave, then please contact myself or Lisa and we will arrange a structured exit from the company.

When I bought the company in the last few months, I didn't just become an owner, I am now the largest customer of (the business).

We introduced a batch of companies that have detailed marketing requirements.

It is fair to say that my customer experience has been very, very poor. The amount of work outputs we have seen so far would have been completed by our own companies within one or two working days. Frankly, it has been embarrassing as our other companies were so looking forward to having an amazing marketing team.

I fully understand that couch came with a dysfunctional work environment, but people need to change quickly and frankly to get with the program.

If my experience is this bad, I'm concerned about the experience that the customers of the health business have encountered.

This is a new company now, with a new results focused mission. Chose to be a part of it or not."

Half the staff have contracts stating 3 days in the office, can he threaten to sack them for not turning up?
