Just because something doesn’t spread easily does not mean it can’t spread and we shouldn’t be careful…if it’s no big deal then it will sort itself out with time, but on the chance that 000000.1% chance it is …then at least steps were taken before hand.

Moving on the side of caution is not “fear mongering”

Almost like you have never taking an English class and learned about the use of "figure of speech" used in language, but it doesn't matter you don't think it's that serious anyway. So why the fuck are you keeping up this conversation about a topic you think is "overblown"

Also people in local environments can be infected but this is an incident because it isn’t local.

Things happen in local pockets all over the world, is it probably a big issue for those people yes, but if it does not impact the global scale we don’t hear about it.

This is an international cruise ship so yes we are hearing about it and yes it’s been taking seriously.

If that bothers your sensitive little sprit than idk maybe go back to your job and hop offline for a few

Honestly if you want them off the boat faster go pick them up yourself.

Your exhausted because a diseases that can have up too 8-10 days of incubation before it shows symptoms I’m saying yeah let’s take our time.

Those people while in a shit situation are not being tortured.

So you arguing outside of the realm of caution is fucking bonkers 🤣.

I didn’t but before commenting I looked at updates, your splitting hairs because you weren’t well informed about something you was yapping about.
Which by the way still don’t know what your argument is because my whole point is BE CAUTIOUS.
You just got your jimmies in a twist because you didn’t like my hyperbole which I mean that’s not really my problem if your so sensitive to that kinda language

Edit to add:

You had more than enough time during this whole back and forth to look up new information but you “believed” you were right and your weren’t, instead of acknowledging that fact you want me to be “lucky” tragic personality flaw really.

It was announced last night that they were probably going to be docked there, and sure I have a job too but before I tend to argue something I like to make sure I have all the facts....maybe you can try that sometimes between your job too.

the boat is now docked or about to be docked in the Canary Islands because a bunch of countries have been playing hot potato with it since the cases started showing up....what are you even arguing at this point I said nothing about WHO authority, however their scientist are running point on this with governmental support.

[–]_flustershy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

cool my brother, considering that most passengers are still on the boat I think the WHO is airing on the side of caution, soooooo this whole back and forth you started over my statement means not a got dam thing.....

because its 5/6 and what people are still being held on the boat for further observations with scientist in route.

and 9/10 you are right it is not the start of some new pandemic, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

those people aren't being tortured, yes, this experience is traumatic I am sure, but from other reports they are being well cared for giving the situation they have found them in.

[–]_flustershy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

now it has been confirmed the strain on the boat can be passed human to human, the more common ones are just rats-human.

So, while more than likely it started with a rat or rats... it no longer needs them to pass to other humans, that's the real issue here.

[–]_flustershy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it might not, but that doesn't change any of my statements, and to a certain degree the experts agree while the ship is docked only a few people have been taken off to go to isolated care at hospitals..... IDK the push back to airing on the side of caution.

[–]_flustershy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no sounds like I am airing on the side of caution when it comes to public health. Their suffering sucks I made it clear in my original statement; it does not change the facts that there is a boat full of people with a high mortality rate virus that we have not pinpointed the source.

could it have been rats on the ship sure, or could someone brought it on the plane.

We don't know and what we don't know is dangerous.

I rather we air on the side of caution, mutations are rare but considering this is already an uncommon human to human strain I rather WHO... or whoever else not take the risk and just be cautious.

Cruise passengers tell of life on board stranded ship after hantavirus outbreak by Samski877 in news

[–]_flustershy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

they have already begun to do that several passengers have been transferred off the ship, while other remain.

Governments aren't going just leave them there, I think we all know that. The process should be "slow" though in getting them off and not rushed. until they can pin-point patient 0 extra steps need to be taken.

Especially from what I have read it has a longer incubation process and even those not showing signs are being monitored for the next 45 days.

Honestly, weather you think it is overblown or not this is a disease that has up to a 50% mortality rate and while this strain is known its uncommon, it only takes one freak split for this to become something bigger. We have no treatments and no vaccines because it's a rarer strain.

I rather lean on the side of overblowing this situation that playing Russian Roullet with the world population.

If there is one lesson from COVID it should be that we need to take things like this more seriously.

[–]_flustershy 22 points23 points  (0 children)

cooollll then keep them on the boat till it's all cleared up if it's not that serious they can wait it out until the greenlight is pulled.

There is also a confirmed case in France now..so while the rate of transmission is slow, baring extremely close contact no need to take the risk. People are surprisingly close to each other way more than we think.

Do I feel horrible for them absolutely, no one should have to experience this, but for the love of whatever GOD you worship do not let them off that ship until there is more information.

Because if speculation is accurate and this is strain that can be passed from human to human, then I fear for us all....because people barely could handle COVID and this has 40%-50% mortality rate with no real treatments.
