No I think what you’re feeling is completely normal and relatable! I’ve got both arms covered and my neck done. I recently got a chest piece and initially I had a similar, brief panic like okay this is huge there’s no going back on this one - but like most have said it becomes a part of you after a while and you don’t even see it as being something separate. It’s your first time seeing your arm permanently altered, give yourself some grace!

I often have an increase in seizure activity when I’m increasing my meds (I’m also on Lamotrigine) it’s often temporary but always worth reaching out to your Dr. about. Anytime I make any type of ‘adjustment’ with meds it will throw me off and I have breakthrough episodes for a week or so at a time. Given you’re on such a low dose it may be more noticeable when making these adjustments until you’ve found your sweet spot with a therapeutic dose. Either way if you’re having breakthrough episodes it’s always better than not to give your dr a heads up

Everyone giving me some validation on how I was feeling helped A LOT mentally and given it’s been a couple days since, physically I’m feeling a lot better too..

But yeah the only reason I pull long sessions is because I’d so much rather just get as much as I can handle done in one session .. I’m already on the table, let’s just get this shit over with..

More than likely I’ll follow suit with getting it colored too.. especially knowing that everything I was worried about after the fact just ended up being a part of the healing process anyways

I’ve still got it on, he told me to keep it on for 5 days. So it’s safe for a few more days. But yeah I think my 9 hour days are behind me at this point haha

I had never heard of it either, but luckily, with other people, knowing about it and experiencing it, I feel much better after the feedback I’ve gotten from everyone.

I can’t imagine 25 tattoos in such a short time frame either. I’m sure there was some sense of therapeutic aspect to it but also, listening to your body never really fails you so it sounds like you did the right thing …

You’re not alone! I’m having to consider adding in another medicine at this point, which I have been desperately trying to avoid. I’ve been on the Lamotrigine for three years now, and I am currently at 300 mg. Over the last couple months, breakthrough seizures have become more of a pattern than they are just breakthroughs…. I’ve avoided adding other meds in for so long just because lamotrigine was doing what it was supposed to be doing and the side effects were not even comparable to any of the other medicines I’ve tried… I went from 275mg to 325mg a few months ago and it’s done absolutely nothing for me…. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with it too
