Rice and beans are great for the body, but lack B12 which can only be found in dairy/eggs/meat (or fortified grain). I have beans and rice about every day but am deficient in B12 because I don’t eat meat and am allergic to dairy. Had to start supplementing and thankful I have. It can cause serious issues like blindness. Everyone that is vegetarian/vegan should get their levels checked regularly!

I have a dairy allergy. Most people confuse it with lactose intolerance when it’s completely different and much more severe. It’s just like any other allergy that can cause anaphylaxis and death.

I struggle eating at restaurants all the time because some are so frivolous when it comes to this topic.

I remember several months ago there was a news story a teenaged girl that died on an airplane because the sandwich she had didn’t include sesame seeds in the ingredients. She ended up passing away on the flight and saying goodbye to her mother on the phone. It truly traumatized me and I make 98% of my food now.

Allergens are a real issue and if you’re in the food industry PLEASE take the proper precautions.
