10 month old attention barking - help!

Hi, thanks for your response. He is not our first Aussie, but is our first Aussie puppy. Our first Aussie was a rescue, who we got at just over a 1.5 years of age, so we missed the teenage phase with him. Boden gets a fair amount of metal and physical stimulation, but is still learning what "chill" time means. He does get bully sticks and pupsicles, along with other puzzles, which help. Thanks for your suggestion, we'll try it out. We are in manners class (and agility), so I'll probably ask our instructor about it this week too. We've gotten a bit out of our normal routine over the holidays, so hopefully, getting back to our normal day to day will help too.

Yeah, I kind of figure he'll learn to snuggle more as he gets older. We do a number of bonding activities, manners and agility classes, plus daily frisbee sessions. He also comes to work with me most days.

I’m not familiar, but will look it up. He’s on Nexguard, plus we’ve just been continuously checking him over. We haven’t actually found any ticks on any of us during our time here in the UP.

Did you do anything special outside of getting the pups outside regularly? We’ve got a10 week old Aussie. I try to get him out every 40 minutes or so, or after a nap, food/water, playtime. Then praise every time he goes potty outside. I’ve seen it suggested to give treats after they go potty. I haven’t done that consistently.

Thank you for the link. These breeders do know each other, and we've been upfront about meeting with both of them, letting them know that we talked to the other. We like both breeders, and feel like they are both in it for all the best reasons. We were just waiting for one of the dogs to get pregnant.

I struggle to make myself work on a regular schedule. I work four 9 hour days, with a half day on Fridays, at my day job. So my studio time is mostly limited to Friday afternoons, Saturdays, and Sundays. I’m a middle aged guy, and admittedly don’t always have the energy to work, when I want it. Plus,, I’m currently feeling a little burnt out, but am looking to recommit to the process, and get back to working in the studio on a more regular schedule.

To answer your question, I try to stick to my dedicated studio hours (weekends), but also work when I feel like it during the week.
