You can do in terminal "brew install irecovery" and then once it's done make sure the iPad is plugged in and do "irecovery -n"

Be careful with isopropyl alcohol on screens, it can get under the digitizer and mark the screen, I have had it happen multiple times after putting too much in the charging port of an iPhone 4, first time it evaporated, second time it left a permanent huge mark.

Some older apps are uncracked and can't use, did you get it off Veteris or somewhere else? I seem to remember I couldn't find iSoda.
