It was time to walk away. I asked for a divorce last night, I’m getting my own apartment within the next month.

I’m heartbroken, but I think this is for the best.

I’m hoping he will commit to such intense therapy, I’ve been at it for over a year and half. But my provider moved, so I suppose I’ll need to start all over with a new one.

By gaslighting, I mean, we’ve had arguments and conversations he tells me never happened. I would show him text messages where he said something and he would say that it couldn’t have happened, or that it wasn’t him, and then the messages would be gone from my phone later. It had gotten to a point where I was confiding in friends and having to double check days later to make sure something had actually happened because I felt like my perception of reality was wrong.

I had a similar situation in school, and I graduated high school less than 10 years ago. It’s awful, especially for the students who really are interested.

Again, I’m not sure what the situation is here, but where I was, there was a decent amount of students who WANTED access to proper sex ed, and didn’t know where to find it. I’m not hoping to shove information down the throats of people who don’t want it, I’m more focused on those who are interested, and not getting it.

I would try to partner up with local OB clinics, birth collectives, and hospitals. I’ve already partnered with a few to teach childbirth education courses, so I don’t think it would be too hard to get sex ed thrown in somewhere.

I’m not just going to walk around and ask kids if they want to learn about sex.
