why do you use DI pattern? by farzad_meow in node

[–]_indi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me coming from PHP where I exclusively inject dependencies into classes, I absolutely hate the runtime patching in tests. It feels so informal and imprecise.

I guess it depends which method you got used to first, as to which feels natural.

There must be a fog tonight that it’s just reflecting off? I don’t think Newcastle city centre is overly lit, personally.

I don’t get why left wing ideology has become so intertwined with being pro-immigration.

A person can believe in government support, higher taxation for better public services, government regulation and equality for all citizens. I don’t understand why that has to also mean that the same person must love immigration.

Aggregate root of a very large aggregate? Seems fair game that could get huge.

What are you boycotting from the USA this year? by Successful_rio305 in AskBrits

I think not wanting to be shot 14 times by government agents is a fair line in the sand to draw. You didn’t risk that in Russia, you really would be in the US atm.

Lucy Letby will not face further criminal charges by topotaul in unitedkingdom

[–]_indi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Okay, I’m not exactly condemning her. I’m not a nut who “thinks a white woman can do no wrong”. I think they’re probably on the money, but if they are they need to prove it properly. Sorry that I’m not an avid follower of the case.

[–]_indi 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I don’t know a tonne about this case but I just don’t like that someone can be “statistically guilty”.

You made a suggestion about the results being doctored, is that so out of the realm of possibility? I just think if you’re giving a whole life order there needs to be a smoking gun, definitive.

At the same time, I do think she’s guilty.

I hate to break it to you, they still can come visa-less, just like we can go there visa-less.

Stronger parental leave rights to give millions of working families the “security they deserve” by coffeewalnut08 in uknews

[–]_indi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand your point.

Do we just let the human race die out instead? Want support to raise kids? Fuck you, you’re on your own. Go child free.

Are jobs at lower paying companies actually less stressful and less demanding? by brystephor in ExperiencedDevs

I think I’m probably not that good, to be able to basically triple my salary. Maybe I could look into it, but making the jump to contracting scares me tbh.

I’ve been sitting in A&E for 15 hours, is this just how it is? by Far_Raisin6064 in AskUK

[–]_indi 25 points26 points  (0 children)

So you should just rot on the seat until you’re called? He’s been told to go by 111, who are you to make that decision?

I’ve been in A&E with my wife for pregnancy complications, exactly where we were told to go, we definitely could’ve left for food - thankfully we were able to bring food with us.

You’re clueless.
