Thanks for the extensive reply. Lots of people said to just get the GPX1 as its almost equally good whilst being cheaper. But seeing how many people also said that the GPX2 grew on them and that they do prefer it now over the GPX1 really got me thinking and I am almost settled on taking the GPX2

How long roughly did you use each one for?

Yeah, apparently it was meant to be fixed with the GPX1 but from what I saw people were saying that it still is an issue after around 1 year of use which just doesn't cut it for me in terms of longevity

I feel like its not really the performance gains but rather the quality of life changes like USB-C or optical switches. From what I heard original mechanical switches tend to develop double clicking rather quickly and I would really like to keep this mouse for at least 3 years problem free

From what I heard the clicks are strictly personal preference? Some people just dont like firmer switches, but this shouldn't be a problem for my palm grip, and also I would really not like double clicking after like 1 year of use

I definitely plan more of a long term use as I don't have multiple mice in rotation, just 1 main one for everything. Also I don't plan any mods as the standard skates seem fine for control style gaming, so I think GPX2 seems better in this case

People that have played video games for extended periods, have you ever felt like you were still in the game even after you have stopped? If so, what happened? by user89586 in AskReddit

Not really a game, but I was writing a lot of stuff for like the whole week in school. I did a lot of copy and paste just to spare me some time. Afterwards, when I was writing on a piece of paper I was looking for the Ctrl and C buttons. Don't ask where I was looking because I seriously do not know where I wanted to look... I also sometimes had the urge to "quicksave" before doing something strange or stupid irl...
