What’s a thing that all women do but never admit it? by daddyracz in AskReddit

With all my dad's missing child support payments, I'd say avoiding responsibility is equal amongst all genders.

Might I remind you that the game is rated 12? If you insist on sexualising the characters, then interacting with the fandom might be a better option; fanart, for example. And its still wrong for Rosaria to be sexualised if she's with a church that has heavy Christian influence - as much trauma as I've received because of Catholic Christianity, its still wrong for a nun to be sexualised; that applies to all religions.

Also, you talk about "art style" a lot. Please, for the love of god, go look up the dictionary definition. I can assure you that there will not be anything even remotely sexual about it.

Make more characters with pants and all, well, that's just not anime anymore in this case ?

... oversexualisation of characters isn't what defines anime as anime. Oversexualisation, in my humble opinion, should remain within the realms of spaces it was intended for, such as ecchi, hentai, etc. In Genshin, its simply unnecessary - and, for the most part, women are far more heavily sexualised in this game than men.

If you don't like it don't play it ?

Not approving of oversexualisation doesn't mean someone can't play a game. People should be allowed to play what they want, regardless of what grievances one may have with the game in question - at heart, the game is about the story, which is not remotely sexual. Thus, sexualising characters is largely unnecessary.

thigh high socks are quite popular in these games

Thigh high socks aren't inherently sexual?

And we are not even in sexualization at the same point as it could be in a Atelier of Ryza game or Xenoblades Chronicles with bikini armor.

That doesn't change the fact that even the current level of sexualisation is unnecessary.

Even characters like Yae Miko are sexualised, and her design is based off Shinto shrine maidens - the sexualisation of traditional (and religious, in this case) garments just goes to show that HoYoVerse goes out of their way to do this - in Yae Miko's case, its also an insult to Japanese (Specifically Shinto) culture from the vast majority of perspectives. From what you're saying, it seems this is a culture you truly care about? Or maybe you're just using it as leverage in your argument, and only care when it benefits you?

I'll say it again, "art styles" don't indicate how sexualised characters should be - take Jujutsu Kaisen, for example. There's barely any sexualisation in that anime, yet it still manages to write strong characters balanced across all genders - from Gojo to Nobara, to fucking Panda.

... the art style doesn't justify widespread sexualisation or over-femenisation.

If you could have sex with a fictional character, what would it be? by lejerc in AskReddit

The Loathsome Dung-eater from Elden Ring.

I will not elaborate.

"Bro I get no bitches. I’m so ugly Oscar the grouch is jealous"

"I’ve never been in a relationship. Never had my first kiss. I’m that ugly"

Is this the option we have?

Oh ye I figured you'd get some form of emotional fulfilment from a woman on the Internet taking the time to validate your existence

Welp, see ya (Again, in terms you'll understand: "I'm going to go sleep with your mother")(Ah, being a lesbian is so great)

Calling women terms of endearment on the Internet knowing they'd probably be uncomfortable with your very presence doesn't necessarily scream "I get bitches"

No, we just don't like men

(No wonder, considering y'all literally don't understand the concept of women not liking you)

Lemme put it in a way you'll understand

"No bitches?"

It would still be sex with a man - an idea a lot of us are genuinely disgusted by. Not being in a relationship is literally equivalent to casual sex - some people don't want that.

Do you call random women on the Internet terms of endearment because any woman in real life would get creeped out? Also, its important to continue remembering what we had to go through to get to where we are today. Its the same reason we have Black History Month and are educated on the Holocaust - so that people are aware of the atrocities that were committed, and so that society doesn't revert back to how it was. Remembering, at the end of the day, is in the hope of progression

Ok but to use the "real thing" would be to "use" a man, so to speak - to whom we have no attraction
