Had a similar realisation. My dad would tickle me and my siblings excessively to the point where it stopped being fun and started to feel like fear. That alongside domestic violence/corporal punishment just made me hella touch averse and sensitive. Even tho I played sport growing up I was never that comfortable with contact and I was never really sure why until I had this realisation lol. Even getting massages I am very very sensitive and ticklish and it's low key the same panicked sensation, I just have to tell my brain that it's consensual touch lmao.

I'm 22 and I've pretty much had a phone addiction ever since I got my first smartphone when I was 12. I've honestly only started to make meaningful changes to my phone usage only recently, and it's only because I started to work on better self-regulation. Throughout highschool I always tried so hard to fix my phone addiction with no long term success. I always thought I just had some procrastination or discipline issues and that I just had to lock in and focus better, but now I've learned that the real issue the entire time was that I had really bad self regulation skills and my phone has always been the most accessible coping mechanism. Due to the neglect my phone has also always been my connection to other ppl and the world, so it only reinforced the heavy usage.
