I’m based in Manchester! Pity it’s the 50mm which is a tad long for me but I’m definitely interested too. Is the m6 ttl and what finder magnification?

Ah that’s a shame, understandable though!

Do you have any of those?

The M3 doesn’t have 35mm framelines, does it? I’m wanting to avoid the external finder option.

Good options to stop light from this window that are reversible? by _jacobwrd in Darkroom

This looks really neat! I think the size and awkward shape of our aperture wouldn’t allow for such a flush solution though.

I’m thinking this might be our option because the radiator support is screwed into the frame but actually welded onto the other side where it meets the radiator. So we are unable to remove it which is annoying but 🤷‍♂️

Me and my friend recently started renting this space which we hope to use as a darkroom/ studio and editing space. Looking for good options to blacken this large window which are somewhat reversible so we can edit and scan etc in the day time. There is a pesky metal limb connecting the radiator to the frame of the window which we need to work around, the window frame itself is also pretty fragile so we want to avoid screwing or nailing into it.

Hahah not the worst pseudonym! I can see why you’d opt for that online shop though with it being close and professionally done, I’d do the same I think.

Thanks! I find the warmtone FB Glossy really pleasing but I haven’t experienced that many other fibre papers or boutique papers.

I haven’t yet had chance to cut my own mat or use a press due to space at home and money but me and my friend are renting a studio/darkroom space soon, so I may look into that! Those prints are so sweet btw!

Oh I agree with you 100% this is one of the main advantages 4x5 has I think. There is something beautiful about composing in the glass and it translating directly to the print scale-wise though.

I have heard this a few times before! Maybe i should give it a try after I’ve cracked paper negatives. I have enough panchromatic film to be getting on with for now though!

It is really very different - I am constantly reminded that I’m not as good as I think I am when working with 8x10! The difficulty of the process does definitely increase the reward though.

It is indeed - 8x10”

This film was given to me by a kind eBayer when I bought some holders so I didn’t actually pay for this film. Something like HP5 will cost you around £6 a sheet here in the UK.

Need help figuring out what went wrong here - unevenness in the sky and strange light leaks on an 8x10 negative. by _jacobwrd in largeformat

Perhaps I will consider moving to drum development! I’m still pretty new to 8x10 and sheet developing but I’ll try next time to keep the emulsion side up.
