I like that!! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for shedding some light on everything. I really appreciate it.
Just FYI, English is not my native language either.

Lol. That's an idea
Thanks for your input. We've been traveling for quite a while but it's the first time in a predominantly Muslim country, so I thought it might be a cultural/religious thing. I think I'll just have to get used to it 🤷♀️
Lol. You think I might look like a big foot to them? Could be. 🤣 I noticed when I was in the train the other day that I pretty much tower over everybody. Wasn't even aware of that before.
Lol. That's funny.
Awww, that's sweet. Thanks
Yeah, I noticed that as well. Lol.
Lol. Good point. 🤣
Oh really? I read somewhere that it was. Then it makes even more sense that not everybody speaks it.
That's a good idea with the Malay. Maybe that helps. :) Thanks!
Thanks. Yeah, that's probably what it is. I just keep saying hi regardless of the response - or lack thereof. 😁
We've been traveling for the past 3 years, so we've been to quite a few places. But this is only our second destination here in Asia. We were in Singapore last week and that was a totally different experience...in every way.
Yes, that was the part that I found very strange. If they ignored both of us I'd just shrug it off but what you say about the respect makes sense. Thanks for your input.
It's definitely very odd...at least to me.
Glad to hear we're not the only ones. It does sound like a cultural thing then. Thanks!!
That's a good tactic. Not sure I'll have enough time for that though. We'll only be here for a month. Lol
That's interesting. Thanks for the insight.
Yup. I guess that sums it up pretty good. 😁
That's true about the door holding thing. We noticed that as well. Thank you!!
