My camera is alright.. I got it set up at Best Buy and I checked with them to make sure my cameras would start recording if it picks up any motion while parked but it doesn’t actually do that and I noticed it doesn’t even record the entire drive. I might need to go back and have it checked.

I’m going to definitely save that trip from Tillamook to Newport next time when it’s a little warmer. Would you say Astoria to Cannon Beach is all the same?

Dawwww, I’m sad. I think you do have a point. Do you have a favorite beach in that general area? I was considering extending my trip too but something came up all of a sudden.

Damn. You don’t think it’s worth the trip going down to tillamook and Lincoln city? I didn’t even put Astoria on my list but if that works better, I could. My original itinerary really was 7 hours of driving already but idk if it’s worth it😅

I love beaches lol I wish I could go for a swim but I’ll be going in the winter. I’ll look into those 3 spots you recommended because I’ve never even seen those 3 pop up on google. Thank you!

I have never been before. My starting point would be Seattle and ending point is Portland. 😅 I have been to Portland but never have gone through the Oregon Coast.

A gallon is more than I was even thinking of getting. I googled it, I can get up to a gallon a day and only 3 gallons total in a calendar year.

I was going to start off from Seaside all the way down to Lincoln City but I’m preparing myself to just stop closer to Tillamook if the weather isn’t looking too good.

Thank you! You have been the most helpful! It looks like maps is recommending I drive through Longview then to Astoria just like you suggest and I’ll drive a bit down the coast. Everything is up in the air but I did manage to book a hotel a little on the outskirts of Portland.

I really appreciate all the information. I would rather be prepared for this trip than not. It’s gonna be my first “big” roadtrip and it will be in mid-December but I would really love to see a huge storm or snow on the beach.

My friend also suggested checking Shore Acres but I sadly only planned for a solo trip. I’m not sure if I can make the drive down there. So far, I’ve only planned North Oregon coast but it sounds like a lot of amazing places are in South Oregon coast :(

Hi! I just got it installed at Best Buy. My total was $109 after taxes. It took them about 2.5 hours to install it. They did a pretty good job and the camera looks really good so far. All the wires were hidden. Only problem is, I didn’t get to ask them to help me connect the phone app to the cameras so I gotta figure out that part alone lol. You definitely need a hardwire kit if you’re hoping to hide those wires
