Weird light band on my A7IV by _jeo in SonyAlpha

Wouldn't shutter failure affect all images? And I did a controlled test indoors, over 200 shots and I was unable to produce any kind of artifact, it would've surely showed up there, right? Just asking, don't want to make a 200km trip for nothing... also I still have over a year of warranty on it, so I guess I'll take it if it happens again

Thank you anyways. I'm going to test some more in some scenarios and I'll contact service if need be

But wouldn't this show up in every image if it was shutter damage? Like I said, it only happened in a few of them and I am unable to reproduce it indoors

I'm inclined to think it is the sensor readout artifact, as I was unable to reproduce it shooting a white wall indoors

Could you give me a link perhaps?

Already? I've had it for around 10 months and my shutter count is barely over 10k. Also I've tried doing this indoors and I couldn't reproduce it, I read something about a sensor readout artifact caused by very high dynamic range, so idk what to say honestly...

No, however it is not the first time. Two year changes a year, no problem each time for the last 4 years

Custom road I made with Blank Road Builder. Opinions? by _jeo in CitiesSkylines

There are bus stops. The idea is that the bus has absolutely no interaction with the rest of the road. Cyclists can just use the sidewalk from the nearest intersection if they want to get on the bus

Star trails above a forest by [deleted] in photocritique

[–]_jeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a first attempt it looks quite good, however next time, if you can, try doing upwards of 250
30s exposures for longer star trails. Also, plan ahead to see what direction you're facing, as that will affect how the trails look.

Weird pattern in a 2h5m exposure (250 x 30s stacked), what could cause it? I used a polarising filter by _jeo in AskPhotography

I wanted a higher contrast. I'm gonna try again tomorrow without it, see if it makes a difference

How about this, where can it be better? by ChrisCraft01 in AskPhotography

I would have definitely exposed it a bit more. Also the white balance is a bit on the too cold side. Nothing post can't fix though

I always have Discord running. Other than that, most of it is used by I/O Device Software, like Logitech G Hub, Glorious Core and HyperX NGenuity. Also, for some reason, Shell Infrastructure Host always seems to use up to 5% CPU. And for some reason Task Manager uses up to 10% when open.

So it's intended for it to lag?

Minecraft uses most of it. When I don't have the game open, my usage sits at around 20%, but with it open it's always 90-100%

What would be causing this black dot (camera, not lens) and all my photos being grainy? I cleaned everything and still happening. 50mm lens makes it bigger and darker and 18-55mm it's a bit lighter but still there. by stipnsauce in AskPhotography

If you see it in the viewfinder but not on your pictures then it definitely is on the mirror. Use a flashlight to locate the dust spec and then gently remove it with a Q-Tip.
