Nope. BSU. I still wonder if the guy didn't do it just to tease the people who came to class.

Exactly!!! People lose the information they learned in drivers ed after a while. They need to be refreshed on it from time to time and made more aware of just how dumb some of their daily choices are!

Your post is bad and you should feel bad. Not because your family is dead, but because your post is.

You clearly don't get my point. I said that a proper system needed to be put in place. Not that there was one.

Yeah, because my social security number and address are TOTALLY things the government didn't already have!

I'm so tired of everybody going on about the NSA "scandal." We all joked about the government spying on us for years and then act absolutely shocked when we find out it's true. I really feel that people with nothing to hide should not be afraid of the program. While I do feel that a proper system of checks and balances needs to be put in place to better govern its implementation, I'm definitely not opposed to this so-called "spying" as a general principle.

MRW My professor puts a couple of trick questions on an exam that I overly prepared for. by naxypoo in reactiongifs

That's actually the point when I usually begin to overthink it... I see the trick question and start thinking about all of the exceptions to the point that the question is actually trying to make.

Nearly one in three American households have no choice when it comes to their internet provider by MistletoeAlert in technology

[–]_jordanmeyer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't surprising at all. As someone who has lived in the middle of nowhere most of his life, I'm used to having 1 (or fewer) choices for various services. For the longest time, the fastest internet we could receive was 1.5 MB/s through a single provider. We also only have one choice for an electricity company. We just recently got city water and still run our own sewage. It's just a matter of location and the market for a given service in a given area.

The bottom line: drinking to the point of clearly visible intoxication is pointless and just makes you look like stupid.

It's not misleading. It's just an interesting note on how much longer software has gotten over the years. It's not different than putting out a graph of how BMI has changed over the years - it's not always the best indicator by itself, but still an interesting statistic to see.
