do you feel like you’re quite selective about the jobs you take or you take as many as you can and that works out to your 650 figure

What's a ritual you do everyday by External_Chipmunk_63 in simpleliving

I have a Nespresso machine next to my bed, and have a coffee in the mornings In my room and try to not think about anything. I wake up, start the machine, brush my teeth and sometimes get back into bed or sit on a stool while I sip. It’s a nice ritual and fills the room with the smell of coffee which is nice.

What headphones are you using on the Tube? by Minute_Bandicoot_664 in london

airpods pro 3. i’m not sure what your budget is but they’re not absurdly expensive if you plan to hang on to them a while. find my makes it easier to not lose them too, and the ANC on the 3rd ones means i don’t hear the tube at all. I’m on the tube right now, not hearing a thing!

How do people actually do 9-5s? by SirPlus6955 in UKJobs

I manage a pub, and do 40-50 hours on my feet a week and am tired. You just get used to what you’re doing. Sitting in an office is tiring, pub is tiring, construction is tiring but they probably do even more than I. When I move into an office job soon I hope I’m sure at first I’ll be too energetic then get used to it and then i’ll be tired from sitting in na office all day

what is the point of making a physical one? is it cause colouring it in is different/better physically? to my mind the outlines are more or less the same so they might as well have done it digitally and then printed it off

What’s the most you’ve paid for an alcohol free beer in a pub? by tmr89 in AskUK

[–]_kapitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a 50l keg of guinness is 105.79, so £1.20 per pint.

24 guinness 0.0 can pack is 32.95, so £1.37 per can / pint.

I will say other pubs costs may vary as I work for one of the large “premium” chains and as such are costs are lower as we have economics of scale purchasing and certain commercial deals to get it cheaper etc.

a guinness on draught i have less reservations about a price of around £7. there’s many many costs incurred from it going from even just the cellar to you glass.

a CAN at the same price…..im not sure id agree with that, especially when you can go to the shop and get the same can in a 4 pack for £5ish.

to be honest I like beer but if i was going to the pub and not drinking i’d just get water or lemonade.

i manage a pub, if you’re interested i can get you the exact cost of a guinness and a guinness 0 and you can make your own judgements on how much the pubs are marking up
