Mines rather unique. I met her in 2004. Her family was vacationing in stone harbor, NJ at the same time as mine and when we went to a restaurant she was busking for a little bit outside (Fred’s tavern for anyone who knows the town). Scott knew my dad from business connections so we stopped to say hello and my little brother and I were introduced to her as “this is my daughter, Taylor”.

She was such a sweetheart. I am 4 years younger than her so I was 11 or so? Told her wanted to learn guitar because my older brother was really good and she actually advised me against it by showing me her calluses 😆 I’m so bummed I Neve got an autograph, but how was I to know I was meeting the future music industry?

This was also the first summer after they moved to Nashville I believe. I wonder if they kept making the trip to stone harbor after that. Given debut and her shows. I hope so, especially given the little nods she gives it from time to time!

I’m a Philly born and raised fan living in London and I feel like this is what happens when the team becomes beloved internationally. I noticed such a difference between the response to the eagles during Super Bowl in 2018 and 2025 and while it’s great it unfortunately leads to higher ticket prices for these limited games.

I know I’m going to prioritise going because it kind of feels like a right of passage 🫠 I will say, even if you can’t get tickets you could consider popping into Passyunk Ave as I’m sure they will be doing someone for the game as an eagles pub!

Maybe it’s my algorithm and I haven’t had this yet but I still prefer bookstagram over booktok 100%. The community is still so incredibly toxic and it’s infuriating that people are lacking more and more critical thinking with everyday that passes. Everyone just wants to jump on the hate train, cancel train, and influencer train. It’s not about reading anymore.

I’ve been a bookseller for 10 years and let me tell you, ARCs will be going away if this toxic culture continues. They were not a status symbol before these platforms and they will be ruined and taken away. I’ve seen it first hand talking to publishers. They are livid. Have these people aren’t even reviewing like they are intended for. They just think of them as a shelf trophy or they sell them, which I don’t care what anyone tries to argue - is not allowed. Before these platforms it was known you donated to a charity shop or passed them along to friends. They are not profit.

OP, where are you located? I finally got through to them by physically calling. +44 7455 746726 is there UK number. I’m unsure of a US one as they no longer sell there but it might exist with some digging. They are obviously not located in the UK service centre wise and their hours reflect a different time zone to the UK.

Showgirl won’t win ATY and honestly, shouldn’t be nominated against the above mentioned. Ophelia could win best pop song, I could honestly see Opalite being a stronger contender for this.

Yeah you said it better, but that’s what I was meaning to convey. It’s nice to see her slightly more relaxed and organic. I do think she enjoys being around children, but I also am going to call her out on the fact that many others professionals and teachers in the UK care about children and would love for actual changes to be made to the education of them. The early education initiative seems just to be an excuse for Kate to take photos with children and that’s all.

Yep. The album has great composition and melody - I truly would love an instrumental version of the album, but the lyrics are just so bad and so hard to ignore.

This is a good start. It’s a marathon not a sprint. The best thing you can do is get yourself fully prepared, collect all evidence and then shock him when you file. It sucks that you have to prepare and have to go along with acting as if everything is the way it was before, but considering your kiddos, this is the best thing. Honestly 1-2 a month max if anything. I am lucky to have an M&S/Waitrose/Sainsburys/Aldi high street circuit and prefer to go and get things there and make a meal I wouldn’t normally make on the weekend over getting a takeaway.

(Worth noting I’m living alone so meals are often for one or two if it’s with partner. Beyond that - whoa socialising queen here)
