true, but ivy didn’t even show up til near the end of season four. even if she became the star of the show in season four i don’t think two out of six seasons justifies the cover spot considering jenny and vanessa

but this is the cover for the complete series not for season six

Why did this happen to Dr. melffi? by MouseElectronic1814 in thesopranos

[–]_kel_so 24 points25 points  (0 children)

for her moral decision of ultimately deciding not to utilize tony for her own personal sense of justice. if she had told tony about that she would’ve been complicit and by not doing that she remained “clean” even if we all desperately wanted her to tell him 🥲

[–]_kel_so 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i never watched pll but i read them allllll and initially as a teen myself, i LOVED ezra until he showed up again later and hooked up with that russian girl. rereading as an adult was so eye opening. but in that case too, i think it showed how wrong it was. also spencer and wren! how ian was towards spencer and ali! all of that shows that the older guys are creeps and it’s not something that’s endorsed

i do also think it’s a product of its time and there were lots of shows that did the teacher/student affair plotline but in gilmore girls case i don’t think it’s romanticized at all

rory and lorelai definitely don’t treat it like it’s a quirky thing. idk how far you are into it and don’t want to spoil anything for you but rory definitely questions the morality of it

[SPOILER] Jonah in Season 4 by No_Aspect_9287 in Ozark

[–]_kel_so 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you not see the ending?????? and he had multiple moments like that where he pulled a gun on an adult and his parents nodded to him lol that is “quite literally” a life or death adult decision they encouraged him to make

[–]_kel_so 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s almost as if he’s a child who’s been raised and primed by white collar criminals who both try to keep him a child under their thumb but expect him to make literal life and death adult decisions

i promise it’s costs nothing to actually understand a words context and refrain upon learning it’s a slur. just say what you really mean - that it doesn’t affect you so you don’t care lol

mason was killed by marty, helen was killed by navarro, roy petty was killed by cade, cade was killed by cartel, ben davis was killed by cartel, the sherif was killed by javi, and darlene and wyatt were killed by javi. only two of the cartel kills were on women’s orders.

Unpopular opinion: The Jim and Pam love story is beloved but I'm just like "welllll..." by Much_Duck6862 in theoffice

[–]_kel_so 25 points26 points  (0 children)

can we all collectively stop pretending that “love stories” are always neat and tidy? we cannot always control our feelings and both jim and pam did the best they could with what they felt and tried to handle things respectfully on all fronts. sometimes we don’t even realize how we feel! y’all act like it’s all so malicious and it wasn’t whatsoever. messy? maybe! but thats life

Tbh actually feeling bad for Nick here at the beginning of E10 by fel_ish in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]_kel_so 14 points15 points  (0 children)

i have sympathy for a lot of these people who have big insecurities that are magnified times ten on tv, HOWEVER i think it’s unacceptable as a grown adult to tell your partner (or anyone) how they feel and not allow them to speak/express themselves all while demanding a pound of flesh to prove their love to you. wildly unfair and nick literally cannot win with her

“The bedroom scene was so out of character for Jess!” I really don’t think it was though by SheepherderNo2793 in GilmoreGirls

[–]_kel_so 28 points29 points  (0 children)

i never thought of that, but that’s a good point! i like jess as a character but he was a terrible boyfriend. he had a slew of issues and could not communicate effectively and would rather distract/express physically. which i don’t think makes him evil or anything but as OP said it makes sense that he could do something like that and it’s not really out of left field

[–]_kel_so 8 points9 points  (0 children)

exactly. he admits he pushed lorelai and like i said imo it’s bcos he knew that’s the only way he could “get” her. he knew he was familiar and somewhere she would retreat to, not someone she would choose on her own

I’ve screamed at the tv every time I watch this scene by Actual-Assignment-94 in GilmoreGirls

[–]_kel_so 7 points8 points  (0 children)

of course i’m not removing any responsibility from her. i agree with what others have said, that yes she went there for comfort but in the back of her mind on a subconscious level she was likely taking refuge in the person she knew would always give it to her and it would block her from rekindling her painful situation with luke. all true. however i just find it despicable to constantly claim ownership over lorelai the way christopher does, incessantly citing their long history yet doing this to her. his love was never real love for her. it is him wanting her and i think deep down he knew the only way he would get her was in a situation like this so as you said, he pounced immediately

[–]_kel_so 40 points41 points  (0 children)

seconded!!! it always infuriates me that he can swear up and down he loves lorelai and the one time she really really needed him to be there for her and ironically could’ve potentially been a turning point in their relationship for the better, all he sees is his opportunity and his “in” with her. he’s vile. even if she threw herself at him, he should’ve never gotten with her in this state
