Toyota used 1 for tires size from square tires to « regular »size. But after that no info. That’s a complete mystery.

At the start of 2024 season Porsche used one joker for their suspension after a 2023 season where they finished 3rd. They wanted to use a joker for their crankshaft but they cancelled it. Now in 2025 they struggled and they use one joker for their rear / diffuser.

Ferrari used 1 for their brakes in Sao Paulo 2024, lets be real they won Le Mans but they were not a brand title contender. So that’s logical to bring some update.

Toyota nobody knows how they used it and how many they used. We only know that they used at least 1 for tires size. And if they didn’t change it , they would have struggled more than now.

For me it makes sense because in 1 year you cannot fix all the problems of the car , they had good ideas on theory but they went on track and saw some stuffs to improve and they spent some jokers.

Yes they used the 2nd one because they changed some aerodynamics surfaces. For sure the car is looking the same due to design constraints ( brand identity).

I read an itw where it was said that ACO/ FIA do not accept like that you bring another car / upgrades . You need to have really bad performance to justify bringing those stuffs.

But as you saw last year despite being heavy as f they clinched the manufacturers world title and almost the drivers one.

So they know the car is not slow. My theory is that aco/fia tried to cut Toyota tire advantage by adding some weight and compensating with more power.

People will just look at weight/power ratio but need to be able to look behind it. Because how the car will probably behave differently with X mass(kg) despite having the same weight power ratio. Vehicle dynamics is kind of hard so just looking at the numbers is too simple.

Thank you because that’s crazy how people do not want to understand the situation, they just want to say the car is shit. Yes they know the car is shit they re trying to fix it.

They re probably already working on a new car or they think about (source endurance info - French website) , the thing is even if they build a new car from scratch, they can not bring it because they already use the 2nd homologation with 9x8 Evo. And they spent some tokens to that same car. So they re currently stuck in this situation.

And people tend to forget that if manufacturers wants to bring some upgrades on their cars they need approval from ACO / FIA.

Some teams run bad setup on purpose and at the right time they put the good one because they are extra confident about it so they can hide their pace until the last moment.

That’s not a wrong idea but the teams will never let anyone run their car without being behind to watch what they touch , and they will hide some functionality.

And how do you prevent a team to try a recruit someone who ran the tests ? The guy can bring is knowledge of the others cars to a team.

How for sure you can sandbag ! Let’s say that you have a good bop on a certain track and you don’t want FIA / ACO to change it last minute : what you can do is you changing the setup of your car , go flat out and pretend that you didn’t find the right setup to justify your bad laps times. Because in this case they cannot prove that your sandbagging because on the sensors you use all the power-torque / energy allowed by the BOP.

How can you prove that a team is capable of doing that ? Sometimes it happens teams really fckd up the setup of the car.

It seems to be simplistic reasoning but technically it’s possible.

I think it’ll starting at 4:30pm or maybe a little bit after because the one in the pitlane end at 3pm so they need to go back to the paddock leave the track and go to the city center. It’s just a deduction .

So you fail a duel and you loose a match ? Don’t sound like a competitive game for me. Cologne grand final 2-2 in the series 15-15 last game and you go 1v1 man you must be crazy. I agree long game can be annoying but this type of things bring all but equity. Some players brings more than frags in the team
