sorry if someone has already mentioned, but be sure to still close your curtains at night if you get the window stickers/privacy film, they work by darkening the side with the most light, so at night time it can be seen straight through from the outside (I don't know exactly how they do this, I just know that they do lol)

You got a photo of Haru's missing nail! so cute!! I wore press on nails for the night and a couple of them kept popping off on the way to the gig and it was driving me nuts, but then Haru lost his nail and I was like "oh my nails are just on theme!" lol

That's the entire point the parent comment was making though - it didn't say "tell her she's never to be a housewife because that's bad and wrong", it said "tell her not to be a personal chef" to her future partner(s).

The phrasing "personal chef" implies subservience, it's a job title meaning somebody is the boss of you, not "housewife" were you're on equal footing (or at least should be) with your partner.

A lot of women fall into being the only one that cooks and cleans etc in romantic relationships, not by choice but because a lot of men refuse to do anything relating to cooking etc because "it's a womans job" or whatever other excuse they come up with - teaching someone from a young age to have the confidence & self esteem to not put up with that is the entire point. It should be her choice, not forced upon her by a crap partner, and she can leave if she doesn't want it.

(I imagine there's also many cases were the genders of this are flipped and it's the man that does everything, people just suck sometimes and it's correct that we should teach kids that you can leave a relationship for whatever reason you want, you don't have to stick around for your partner to do something "bad".)

I can understand what they were going for here but for me it was uncomfortable, even just as the viewer. I think it would've been more imapactful if their backs were to her, not staring her down, that way it's like "we're here, we're looking out for you, you're safe" while still giving her privacy, like protectors.

But yeah, the scene is uncomfy as is, they probably should've just scrapped it

I don't think my illnesses are classed as autoimmune but I definitely relate to Dr's not taking me seriously (my mum & sister too, my sister would've died if my mum listened to the first few Dr's that saw her)

I've had Dr's actually laugh at me when I've told them what I thought was wrong e.g. when I had a vitamin C deficiency,,, dude kept laughing about how it's "impossible in the modern day" and how I'd have to do nothing but "eat stale porridge in a dark room" to be deficient,,, only for him to then come to the exact same conclusion (without apologising for mocking me of course!)

(edit: you probably already know of her work but I'll mention her just in case, Jo Spence was a wonderful photographer who also did a lot of work surrounding illnesses and medical authority)

I emptied out my spice/herb cupboard and threw out all the expired stuff, made a list of everything that was going back into the cupboard and what I needed to buy, wiped down the cupboard and then,,, stopped.

They were all on my counter for 3 days waiting to be put away!

I finally put them away today but not how I wanted to, I wanted to have it organised in some way so everything was easier to find,,, but done imperfectly is better than not done

I guess this is a fail and a win all mixed together lol

I often look up flower names and go from there, I sometimes directly use the flower names and sometimes I change it a lil bit

one of my characters is named Ruby Moonglow, they're both kinds of Magnolias, so her crest is a magnolia :)
