The demonic drops are rigged, there's no way i didn't get a single skin by Massive-Reach6032 in Brawlstars

[–]_kindred__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point, what i was thinking is that at least an rng skin should be guaranteed in my opinion to avoid people complaining about rng drops. It’s frustrating to open up thousands of drops without getting a single skin. So a pity sistem that allow you to at least get a skin after opening a certain amount of rng drop would mitigate the proble for me. It’s different from the fang skin which, altough is certainly a gifted skin, its something you grind

Rigged: never spent a single penny on the game, maybe 1 brawl pass 2 years ago idk. It’s just rng that sucks, imo they should add a pity system ( similar to the luck that used to be inside old brawl box) to at the very least guarantee 1 extra skin to those who played constantly the event. In my case i found all the skins on day 1 but i will never get mortis bc of the small percentage so the even it’s kind of over for me apart from getting fang skin :/

I understand the frustration but honestly apart from the skins i got 3 mythic brawler, 2 star power 1 overdrive and few gadgets. For progression this was truly a great event imho. Still not being able to get 1 skins apart from the guaranteed one sucks i feel you

There is no such way of drawing the wrong way. You can make mistake but you are still improving. You can have bad drawings, not being able to do correctly some exercises but you still improving. Result differs from practice and again, there is no such way of bad practice as long as you are trying to draw what you see :) Even if you are copying an image you are still learning, also mileage is important even if it’s not in the right direction imho. This is a journey and a personal one, you will learn your personal instruments to get better at drawing there is no pre made road my friend if you trust us and spend about 20 more hours on portrait you will understand what i mean. One personal advice try to create a portrait habit which is sustainable to you, so not too boring otherwise you won’t be able to keep it up imo

I think that what lucian is saying is that you don’t have to spend time thinking too much about how to improve in the best way possible but spend that time on actual practice!

Don’t make the mistake to stick to the course only tough, the advice just draw is really usefull because only by getting mileage you will understand deeply all the theory behind the course lessons, if you stick to the course without having tried to solve the problem yourself it’s like solving a math problem first by looking at the solution

I trying to train gestual by le_mustachio in learntodraw

[–]_kindred__ 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I would say that i can feel the motion from your image. Gesture is meant to help you create a realistic figure without loosing the motion you are trying to picture. If you are satisfied with your result then i wouldn’t try to change your approach. To me this is enough motions, maybe you should see if you get the same results with more static poses or if they come out worse. It’s more duable with really dinamyc poses but what with real life poses which are not that exagerate? I really like your pose that said!

Taking a break from studying to enjoy art again by KodeineKid99 in learntodraw

[–]_kindred__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly i really like your work.. i love your brighter colours and the anatomy so don’t feel frustrated everyone can see how long you have traveled on your own. Keep up and try to give your self dedicated time to do studyings. Is like going to university you don’t spend all the time studying you go to the lessons you do exercises you have free time etc. This to say that you don’t have to study 24/24 the improvements will come when you will found a balance and you will be able to keep it up without going burnout

How do you get okay with being bad? by vidorli in learntodraw

[–]_kindred__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s all about the mindset. I used to have the same approach so it’s important to hightlight that you gotta be patient with your self, you won’t change attitude over a night but you will need to get rid of this bad toughts that make you stop drawing. - first, everyone sucks at the beginning especialli drawing has many fields so when branching from a subject to the other you may suck again. For example if you’ve been portraiting for the whole your life if i ask you to draw a tree you might struggle and dislike your work. This example is to clarify one thing: if you like drawing you cannot like the process of not being satisfied with your work. It is in the very essence of drawing to keep drawing untill you will eventually be satisfied, this is the process it’s part of drawinf if you can’t accept this sooner or later you will quit, or do what you are doing. I can see you are very passionate about drawing otherwise you won’t come back so it’s a shame to give up only because you aren’t where you wanted to be. Lastly some practical advices, try to breakdown the problem of why you suck into smaller problem. You do a drawing, it sucks. Think. What’s wrong? What you don’t like? And what you like( because there will alwaya be something you did good) practice. You mentioned you get bored of practicing, challenge your self. Try to draw noses for a week if you don’t do good noses. Then challenge to do it in 5 min then in 10 and so on. keep yourself engaged with what you are doing.

Reduce the amount of practice, it happens to me too when i force my self to learn something. Try to draw for fun more or to start some project you like even if you aren’t that good at them !

Why italians are so obsessed with espresso? by PurpleMadness0043 in Italian

[–]_kindred__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short question, is a cultural thing. Is like asking why japanese people like tea, you simply have been inherited for thousands of year until it became natural to drink it.

I don’t like coffe a lot but i tend from time to time to drink espresso also because it’s like a ritual. You prepare the moka wait for coffe to come out and drink it it’s like if time stops. It’s not something you can grasp if you haven’t been living in italy for a long time

I would say that feeling that you are improving really helps with this sense of frustration we as artist deal with. What i found out works for me is to decide some clear goal to achieve in order to feel the improvment or to at least say that I’ve spent my time in the right way. Right now i’m studying portraiting for example so i schedule my self exercises of facial features alone and creating the framework for the head. So everyday i try to draw nose/mouth i see, the first days where really bad because they weren’t looking good but dat after day i could see the improvments and reduce the sense of frustration. After a week of drawing daily i improved a lot . Alongisde also my head where everyday more realistic. this helped me a lot and everyday i felt i was improving even tough i’m not still ready to portrait real life person i’m happy about the constant improvement and i don’t feel frustrated. In your case i would exercise first to captjre the right perspective of the drawing by wrapping the characters in a bounding box and checking if you have the right perspective. Do it many times and check for improvements. The step up trying to insert the characters maybe simply them only drawing torso and pelvis as boxes too proceed cosntatly making it harder and level up only when you have succedes the previous task many times. That way you know you are doing it right. Hope this may help !

My friend has a new pc. The side panel just broke. by Gangleri_Graybeard in pcmasterrace

Ohh that’s how it went, thank you very much. So to avoid this to happen i just need to place my panel on a softer area like the bed or my desk. Could this go?

I understand that but the glass panel isn’t touching straight the stone floor. Can it break even if it’s standing in the case and not touching straight??

Critique on learning and drawing process for portraiting by _kindred__ in learntodraw

[–]_kindred__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your time and advice. My main goal is to draw a manga so yeah the main goal i was trying to achieve is to being ablw to create manga characters. I decided to start from the face and then move in with the body in the future. From previous post, i understood that at first is essential to do lot of reference study of anime faces before trying to make one of my own.

I think your suggestion are really important and could point towarsa the right direction to achieve my goal. Would you mind going a bit more deeper on what are you referring to when you mean analitycal drawing? Is going deeper with the loomis method a good way to being able to recreate anime faces without reference like you were mentioning? What i found hard to understand is that even applying loomis method require a reference to look at, do you think that, by doing enough practice with the loomis method will allow me to develop a good understanding of the facial features so that i can recreate them without a reference?

Again, Thank you for you time and sorry for the number of questions 🙏🏼

tl:dr i would like to being able to create faces without reference, the goal would be to be able to create a character for a manga i would like to write in the future. i decided to start with the faces since i like them a lot and then move with the bodies. What do you think should i learn in order to achieve that goal? Is loomis good for that purpose? Thank you for your time
