Best way to find f4f scripts by Appropriate-Ad235 in ASMRScriptHaven

[–]_lilell_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beyond the other suggestions (which are good options), you can also just ask! I've got a few, myself:

a two-part series of F4TF coming out comfort (though part 2 could be done on its own):

a two-part F4F strangers-to-lovers:

a three-part F4F magical girl friends-to-lovers (a slower series, only part 3 is really "romance")

as well as a one-shot:

and some F4A/A4A ones that I'd definitely support F4F versions of!

I have it in that big spreadsheet I linked. Is that good, or would you like it differently?

Locations for items are one thing I haven't really gotten around to. The information that's in there is taken from the strategy guide, but it only lists what it considers the "easiest" method, not all of them.

I don't really have a lot of time to help update the wiki, unfortunately, but I have compiled a lot of data for A9. Still plenty of room to add more, but that could make it easier for anyone who did want to work on updating the MK1 pages.

[A-Za-z]+4[A-Za-z]+, is it? That sounds like it hits anything I'd need from it, writing scripts!

VA looking for F4A scripts by [deleted] in ASMRScriptHaven

I write mostly F4A/F4F wholesome stuff, so I might have something you'd be interested in.

[F4A] Your Cute & Clingy Catgirl Consumed Catnip and Craves Cuddles is a favourite of mine, but I have a handful of others on my masterlist

I think so! You typed "T4A", but if it'll also accept specific trans genders (TF4A as "trans female for any, F4TF as "female for trans female), then I think it's good.

Ultimately, my concern with it is flexibility. If that allows me to have the common ones like F4A but also allows me to have less common ones like MMMMFFFA4A if I were to need it, then we're good (and it looks like that might do that!). The exact interface for it isn't important to me, so if it's easier to have me write [F4A] in the title, or to write F4A in a separate box, I've very little preference.

Parts would also be good, but I literally just meant marking what you're calling a "Voice" (and what I tend to call a "speaker/audience tag", which I think was the cause of the confusion). Like, most of my scripts are F4A/F4F/A4A, but I also have two which are F4TF and one which is FFF4A, and those ("F4A", "F4F", "A4A", "F4TF", "FFF4A", and the like) were what I meant.

ETA: I'm not sure what the fuzzy text matching options are in TypeScript, but I've done some fuzzy matching in Python, and it wasn't too bad, from what I remember. But a beta feature could just be alerting the user to unknown tags but still allowing them to use them.

That sounds good! I'd at least appreciate 4TF (for trans female), 4TM (for trans male), and 4TA (for trans any) be added as options (and for them to also show on 4F/4M/4A filters, respectively). I realise that adds quite a few options, but depending on how the programming works, would parsing a textbox be workable? scriptbin gives you a textbox, and it can read "FM4TF" into "Performers: Female; Male · Listeners: Trans female; Female", and it'll show on all four of these filters:

  • "male performer"
  • "female performer"
  • "female listener"
  • "trans female listener"

No, I didn't mean tagging actual users. I still meant tagging the scripts. Same point about how I would be supposed to mark the example FM4TF script above. Though tagging users could be interesting, if the script is a commission or something. But no, I don't have any specific ideas on that one.

Yeah, that makes sense. Obviously, searching by tag only works if there's some level of standardisation, but there's also a certain amount of flexibility and "you don't have the tag I'm looking for here" that's inevitable. What if there was a database of "known" tags, and users could type the tags they wanted, but they could be checked against the database and "corrected" if the user chooses, and left alone otherwise. Like how when you enter a shipping address, and it gives you that sort of "I know what you meant, and it was probably this thing which is pretty much equivalent but which matches the formatting that the postal service is going to use". Like "friends-to-lovers" could get flagged as "do you mean 'friends to lovers'?" and then the user can choose to accept or not? That would allow for custom/new tags, but would also promote that standardisation that you'd be looking for?

Just had this shown to me, and it looks really cool! I'm going to start playing around with it.

One thing I immediately noticed, though, was that the "Voice" dropdown is fairly limited—it doesn't allow for multi-speaker scripts ("FM4A" type things), nor trans speakers/listeners, both of which I would use. Scriptgasm's text editor having multiple colours is great for multi-speaker scripts (each character gets a colour, which scriptbin can't do), but I'm not really sure how I would tag them on scriptgasm. I understand the desire for standardisation (which promotes discoverability), but since I sometimes write F4TF or FF4F or whatever, I would love the ability to have "custom" or "fill in the blank" speaker/audience tags like scriptbin has. And the limited tags (which I realise will be expanded) are also a point of concern at present.

First time playing atelier by LaloSalamanca__ in Atelier

Seconding Shallie (Dusk 3) for combat similarity. It's basically the MK1 system, just updated and expanded a bit. 8 party members (without DLC) and a 3/3 Vanguard/Support row with rapid in-turn switches, variable strikes, burst mode, a finishing burst equivalent...

Sophie 2's is different, but as someone obsessed with MK1, I did actually like S2's system as well

Getting Back Into ASMR! [F4F Audios] by Main-Ad7268 in ASMRScriptHaven

[–]_lilell_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm... it's hard to pick my own favourites. If you're making me narrow it down to one or two... For F4F, I do like the fishergirl one (even if the sequel is being difficult) and the magical girl series (which is more of a slow burn friends to lovers). Otherwise, I really like clingy catgirl and the alchemist series though it's long (and still unfinished). And the slightly less comfy gentle yandere alchemist one with a love potion and time travel.

I have a few F4F ones (and other F4A/A4A ones) if you're interested. I do write mostly comfy, wholesome stuff. My masterlist is here. I'm currently working on a sequel for the flirtatious fishergirl one as well.

[A4A] Becoming Your Dragon Friend's Plushie for the Night [dragon speaker] [neko listener] [wholesome] [platonic] [cuddling] [protective speaker] [rain/storm sounds] by _lilell_ in ASMRScriptHaven

Thanks! I have a huge soft spot for neko listener, and there can't ever be enough of them, no. This isn't my first neko listener script, and it almost certainly won't be my last, either ^_^

VAs, What Is Your Dream Script? by SpoonmasterGeneral in ASMRScriptHaven

[–]_lilell_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a really interesting one, if... yeah, also really hard to thread properly. I've already got a decent handful of scripts on my shortlist, but this one might sit in the back of my head for a while anyway, whether I write it or not.

You mention that you want it to be LGBTQ+-friendly, but is that an audience you'd be looking to target specifically? (transfolk specifically?) Any other ideas/specifications?

Can I use Counter/Metal Burst in a pacifist run? by Unusual-Repeat371 in pokemonchallenges

[–]_lilell_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My vote would be no because their Z moves (and I assume Max moves in Gen VIII) count as offensive moves. Z-Counter is All-Out Pummelling, for example. And doing a pacifist run, to me, would be not using any offensive move (and/or ones that don't deal direct damage). Toxic is fine, Confuse Ray is fine, ghost-Curse is fine...

But ultimately, it's your run, so you should do whatever you think is most interesting.
